Want to get started with CPA

Hi all.

I'm very interested in starting a CPA business, but I don't know how to get started.

I know the basics: Get on a CPA network (I'm with Peerfly already. Was on Maxbounty but my account got deleted. Long story. Nothing I got in trouble for though), through a landing page, get some traffic to it, and $$$$$$$$.

The thing is: I don't know for example, which types of landing pages to use for my offers (I'm implying here that direct linking just doesn't convert as well, so I don't even mention it here), if to use an image with the offer so people click on it, or have a landing page with an email opt in, so that after they put in their email, I redirect them to the offer.

Also, I wouldn't know how to drive traffic to my landing pages. Yes, there is PPV, but there's also Facebook, and maybe some search PPC as well? I don't know how search PPC does with affiliate marketing, but anyway. CPA networks say they allow search PPC as a traffic source for some reason.

I'm not even going to deal with anything tracking related (say CPVLab, or getting a VPS for that...), but the basics of the types of landing pages used, and traffic sources. I can figure out the rest.

I don't know how to get started! Any opinions, or even purchased courses in the past that have WORKED for you, would be appreciated. A quick note: I have about $1k to invest, so I'm in this for the long term.

    I think there's a few WSOs (not mine) in the forum about CPA. There's probably 1 or 2 good ones; also, I know youtube has some good videos about it.

    It's true that having landing pages for CPA campaigns does convert better than direct linking. I personnally don't have a lot of experience in CPA marketing but I have made some couple of bucks here and there in the past.

    Typically, what you want to do is to study your offer (s) very closely and think of the type of landing page to create. I think that if you put some sort of question (With a 'Yes' and 'No') button would convert really well , clicking yes would redirect the visitor to your CPA offer with your affiliate link (You get the idea

    Of course in the beginning of your landing page, it is advised to make a clear headline emphasizing the benefits of the offer plus 1 or 2 paragraphs where you describe the offer in details (Use copywriting techniques to hook the reader in only few seconds) + use images and media (Very important to grab the attention even more).

    It's also good if you can capture emails on your landing page, entering an email would redirect the visitor directly to the CPA offer and you can promote other CPA offers to your list in the future.

    My favorite landing page softwares are : Leadpages and Unbounce, very easy to create, test and optimize your landing pages but they cost you some money.

    If you ask me about traffic, I've tried the PPC website 7search.com, it's really cheap but the conversions were horrible. My advice : Go with Facebook ads and PPV.

    Speaking of PPV, study the PPV market carefully. I've hear some people saying that Leadimpact and Traffic Vance are the best if you want to have an return on investment, but you need to have at least 1000$ to be able to run ads in these 2 PPV networks.

    Finally, If you're looking for a decent CPA course, I would recommend CPA evolution (search Google). It may not be available for the moment, but you can check in regularly to see if it's available again.

    PS : I wouldn't recommend buying courses either for CPA or in IM. It's better to trial and error yourself, that way you become more experienced !
