54 Clicks on Adwords, Clickbank Show 1 Hop No Sales?

I got 54 clicks on adwords today for a clickbank product. I log into clickbank check stats. No sales and check analytics. One hop.

How does that work?

Are you using a pre sell page? Cold redirects will tend to convert at 0.5% and under depending whether you are targeting a buyer or searcher keyword.

the new analytics for clickbank is not giving correct hop info from what I have seen in my accounts. There is a link on the left hand side to use the traditional analytics which should be more accurate.

I've noticed stats are way off too, I think they are still ironing out some bugs

Does clickbank sales get reported in real time or does it take a few hours or a day for your sales to show?

The sales show up in your account and under transactions in just about real time but, might take a few hours to show up under analytics.

I am using a cold redirect to test the market. I have double digit click throug rates, theres tons of traffic. Atually the clicks were 69 and not 54. Cost me 44 bucks with no sales. Not sure what to do. The keywords are hard to figure out if they are byer or searcher keywords since its a how to product but the keywords are very targeted hence the high click through rate.

What shall I do? Send another 69 visitors and hope for a few sales? I'd hate to start building landing pages and go full force if I have no prove if the market is feasible.

I would send more visitors. you'll never know without at least 150-200 clicks how the product converts

Thats what I am thinking too. I will drive more traffic to the salespage and see what the conversion is. Then I'll decide if I want to go full force into this or not.

Try sustaining the adwords click through rates, there is definitely scope for sales. Dont get dishearted with just around say fifty clicks.

Update.

I now have 170 clicks, costing 60 bucks, still double digit click through rates. There is tons of traffic in this niche. No sales and just discovered that the sales page optin sends out email follow ups without my affilliate link.

What shall I do?

I am confused...How would an email follow up send emails with your or anyones affiliate link?

On the salespage the visitor can otin for a free sample of the product which then triggers an autoresponder series promoting the product. That autoresponder series doesnt seem to have my affilliate link in it. So I am ending traffic people optin but I never get commission on the sales made throug the autoresponder series.

Yeah sounds like you need to find a more affiliate friendly product. That product is probably making sales off the auto responders and cutting you out of the loop in the process.

Ah I see ...I have seen a few people set this up that the report is automatically branded but ...can you send direct to sales page? ...I guess this is another topic..but thank you for explaining that

well Ive got 123 hops - from a test that im doing no sales yet.

However I dont have a sales page - just put up a few links on yahoo answers!

No, they send out a link that is plain because this then still allows the same affiliate cookie to be stored in their browser for 30 days.

That's right. With clickbank products, you can send out a normal link, but the last hop-link to be used will get credit. When your hoplink is used the first time, it stores a cookie on the users computer for 60 days.

You can test it out for yourself by using your hoplink, then sign up to the opt in. When a new link is sent to you, click on it, and then go to the order page and you'll notice your clickbank id at the bottom of the page.

I did just that and saw me as the afilliate. Thanks for the help
