Default Affiliate Software Programs

So I'm almost ready to launch my product. I'm going to have a pre-launch geared towards attracting marketers and to work out bugs with a hard launch maybe Setp. 1st.

my question is what software do you guys that have products use for your affiliates and those of you that are affiliates, what programs do you like?

So far I like iDevAffiliat

Any suggestions?

Thanks for the sales pitch, but simply not interested when presented like that.

Thanks nifty, I really like iDev, just seeing if there is one I don't know about that is better. Chances are I'll be using iDev but don't want to jump the gun to soon.

Hi Motiv8td,

I used Infusionsoft in our last product launch and it rocks.

It's more expensive, but totally worth it. ;-)

Cheers

Desmond, I never heard of infusionsoft, I checked them out, it seems like they have some cool applications but I'm not sure I need all that they offer. It seems more like a CRM program than anything. The price is also a lot higher than I think is worth paying.

Thanks for that though,

I'm in the process of looking for a program to integrate with 1Shopping Cart to replace the affiliate side of their program.

iDevAffiliate looked good until I found out two things ... they cannot adjust commission balances if a refund occurs after a commission has been paid and they cannot handle recurring billing.

I'm watching this thread closely hoping to find a program that can handle our needs.

Our top affiliate doesn't like the looks of InfusionSoft's affiliate program nor do I. So that rules them out.

We like the 1SC shopping cart and would really like to find something that integrates with them.

John

John, that is very interesting you mention that!

I was just coming on here to read about some shopping carts after signing up with iDev and I noticed that I had a response. I was just checking out 1ShoppingCart as a matter of fact

I don't have recurring billing so that won't be an issue, my refund will be very short and probably be sooner than my payout to the affiliate so I'm not to worried about that.

I never realized the integration issue though, I'm glad you brought that to my attention! thanks!

Hey John,

Im in the exact same boat. In the process of launching new wordpress site and changing over to 1 shopping cart, but looking for better/cheaper alternative than the 1 shopping affiliate program.

Does anyone know a list of options for the best affiliate programs out there that work well with 1 shopping cart?

Thanks,

Julian

guys, if you wouldn't mind letting me know later on how it's working for you. I opted to go for the iDev and Zen-cart combo.

I hope it works as well as I expect it to

You should check into JRox. It integrates with most any and is really great. There is a free version which is the full version only it has a limit of the number of affiliates you can have. Its well worth the upgrade if you intend to keep the program any extent of time because it all very automated.

I liked JRox. They even have a free download so you can kind of get a feel for their software.

we use idev and when researching, it was either that one or jrox, those wer the top 2 on our list, but the guys at idev work their butt off all the time, so you have to give them props for that

as far as the affiliate payments go, webmasterchecks is a decent solution for that

Hi Chris,

Delavo has not been taken off the market.

The giveaway that John launched is over now and Delavo is currently available included in John's promotions and through Delavo Ambassadors such as myself (still for free).

Stay well away from Infusionsoft. They suck IMHO

Have a look at www.Nanacast.com it is viral, robust and well priced.

I have had clients use many different affiliate programs with my shopping cart. A few that I would say seemed easy to integrate would be Post Affiliate Pro and I have had a few people use JRox as mentioned above.

Both were very easy to integrate with the shopping cart that we offer. I would think it would be about the same with 1shoppingcart.

Hope this helps.

I'm using 1Shopping Cart and am 90% satisfied except for their non-existent ad tracking for affiliates. Can anyone recommend a 3rd part program I could use for ad tracking only but leaving the rest of the affiliate program being run by 1SC?

I would think an affiliate sale coming in from the 3rd party links would need to trigger an affiliate sale in 1SC.

Thanks

John

Ew iDevAffiliate.

I used that in several of my launches. It's a great program as far as statistical data for your affiliates, however I had several issues with it when I used it in 2005 and when I gave it a second try in 2008. InfusionSoft works well I agree.

Post Affiliate Pro is the best one in my opinion, especially for the first-time user. But make sure you get the Xpress or Professional version as the Starter version only allows 50 affiliates.

Sorry to divert the topic..Does these affiliate management programs manage the refunds and details how much commission each affiliate has earned?

Also, what do you guys do to pay the affiliates? Do you pay them manually through paypal etc.?

Thanks.

Hi Motive,

I have just installed idev, and its not an easy ride. I wish to give the affiliates the option of either a recurring commission or a one time CPA, but the idev can not handle both of them at the same time.
They sell it to you with the promise that you can let the affiliate choose between revshare and CPA, but in reality it doesn't work.

I asked idev support to help and got the following response:
"In short this is a tough one that would require some pretty extensive custom coding on your end around where the pixel is located to first determine who the affiliate is then what payout type they are one then where in the billing cycle the customer is."

Any one here has any idea on how to start looking into this?

Hi, I'm just setting up an affiliate management system for the first time and am looking into JRox. Is this something I can setup through my Hostmonster site? Thanks for your help!
