Do YOU actually read blogs...or "still" read blogs? do you buy from them?

All this talk of blogs....do you "read" them? buy from them?

How do you feel when they seem to be boring or stupid or so full of ads and disclaimers and fake reviews, do you still faithfully read them?

why would this vast "traffic" want to read some of these blogs? Word spinners...plr content...stuff written by other so called writers, seems some of the webmasters actually have no interest in the "topic"...simply picked a "niche" to "make money"

"done for you" blogs with sales funnels...."copy me" blogs.. I don't visit or read them do you?

If I want a book on weight loss or dog training or gluten free I go to major sites like amazon, or sites run by major companies

I do subscribe to 2 newsletters - but both are from Major Companies.

I still read REAL blogs yes.

I don't read 'autocurated' 'autopost' blogs though.

Even the heavily spammed stuff on FB is very easy to spot.

I look for stuff that is ENGAGING.

And yes, I share great blog posts on third-party blogs I find on my social network accounts, facebook, and, if it is SUPER engaging, my mailing lists.

I do read real blogs within my area of interest yes, and sometimes will click on an ad and buy.

There are reviews on Amazon, but most are short and don't cover all the functions and features of a particular product. For that, I'll look for comprehensive reviews on dedicated sites.

I still read blogs, but I only follow certain people. If I want to know about a product that they haven't written about, I will tell them about, and if they find it interesting or whatever they will do their research and get back to me or get a review access and go through the product that way.

You are quite right. I land on high quality authority websites for most of my searches. Only occasionally visit the crappy niche sites when searching for some long tail keywords. These splogs ( or spam-blogs) are getting de-indexed pretty quickly and I'm all for it.

Having said that, I did end up clicking on their affiliate links, especially when I was a newbie (still am).
For example, I visit a page like "top 5 wordpress plugins for blah blah". I end up on some spun spam blog, skim through the content and click the outgoing URL's.

I read several blogs (thinkers) related to my specific interests and passions. I tend to bounce fast from a cluttered with ads blog. Guess I have become good at spotting the spin/fake crap. When I buy I tend to stick to the tried and true sources. For me the majority of my online spending is initiated via e-mails I received from trusted marketers.
