What free blogs are the best?

I found quite a few micro niches over that last several months, but i don't want to buy a domain for each just to write a few blog post on that niche with a product. What free blog sites that would be the best, that easy to get ranked for that keyword?

I would say Blogger and/or WordPress.

You can also try Wix sites if you want.

You would be able to rank for long tail keywords with these free sites. Just take massive consistent action with everything and do the right SEO!

    Keep up the great work!

None. Quite frankly it is not worth even if it is a slew of small micro niches. That is if you plan to make money with them long term !

Of course ,if you do not plan to make any money with them by all means get a free domain and hosting

Blogspot has been good to me in the past actually created a few post using Blogspot in the get back your girlfriend niche and that is still giving me $25 now and then. This year it has made me a Total: $77.17 and that is for a few post I created since 2010 and have never touched it again. Actually I do not think I know the login info to this blogger account. So for me Blogger is cool. I used it a lot in the past and still do when I want to test out a niche.

If you just want to fire and forget then https://www.blogger.com or https://wordpress.com/?ref=wporg-footer are ideal and can rank well if your content well targeted at small / long tail niches. Not sure you could make much money doing this though.

I'd suggest you take the good advice given above and approach this as a business by installing Wordpress on your own domain(s).

You could maybe obtain a broad domain covering your micro niches and generate subdomains on this domain, each named by the keywords in your micro niche and install separate instances of Wordpress in each. Alternatively you could create keyword named subfolders for each micro niche and install Wordpress in each folder.

Or perhaps you could just stick with one Wordpress blog on the broad domain and create multiple 'silos' as categories for the micro niches? Good luck!

        This is true.

However, if you MUST start with a free domain, I have lost many blogger blogs (blogspot), they were deleted by Go0gle for any reason or no reason.

I would recommend Weebly or Typepad as free blog platforms. I have free Weebly blogs out there that I created 4 or 5 years ago, and are still going strong.

Totally agree, you have no control over your content or site for that matter if you do not have ownership. You can get hosting starting out at 4.95 month with shared hosting and you can purchase a domain name for 8.00 to 14.00 dollars a year depend on your domain extension.
No excuse for using a free platform.

Use Blogger, you get ranked higher.

However, if possible, get a domain and set up a blog there. It's not a big investment really and a much better option than a free blog.

    My two cents.

I've used Blogger in the past, so I'd go with that. However, you should really get your own domain and hosting, so that you can control the content on your sites (and build a list if you decide to). Since it's not your own stuff, it can be shut down at any time, which has been known to happen. Then, you'll have to start all over. This sucks. I know because it happened to me. All I'm saying is don't wait too long and become reliant on free sites.

If you can't afford to create a bunch of micro-niche sites, focus on building a larger niche blog in a really profitable niche, where there are lots of products to promote. You should definitely build a list with a larger niche site as well. You can save money by promoting something you already own that's in one of the big niches, or ask the product creator to give you free access if it's a digital product.

You can try Blog.com they have cool themes.

Wordpress is also good and there's plenty of free videos on YouTube about how to optimize it to the best.

Blogger.com There's a lot of customization options and you can purchase templates through outside website as well, great cause its backed by Google

Weebly.com has plenty of unique and latest themes for attractiveness good for e-commerce, accommodates iPhone app posting easy for linking to your social media accounts. I would really Go for this one.

    Good Luck Sims

Blogger is a good platform, very easy to use and you can start monetizing your blog from day one. In my opinion it's a good option for starting a personal blog or if you want to make a few bucks, but not for business. With Blogger, your blog will look like every other Blogger site and as they told you before, it's not your own site so they can shut down your blog at any time. I think it's better to use a self hosted platform.

I like Blogger the best, because it seems to have the most flexibility especially when it comes to affiliate marketing, and because it is owned by Google it'll probably do very well in terms of SEO if you optimize your content.

I know wordpress (.com, not the self-hosted .org one) has restrictions on commercial content, whereas Blogger is pretty open to such content.

It also has all kinds of cool widgets that you can add to your blog. There's an absolutely vast array of themes that you can select from as well.

If you're going to be marketing stuff on your blog, then I think Blogger is the best choice among the free blogs that are available out there.

Blogger (.blogspot) is the easiest! It also will help you with organic traffic.

Wordpress (I advise you wordpress.org) is the best for customization but you ll need spome good plugin to integrate with AdSense.

For a free blog you need to write 1/2 article every day for some months!

    Kor420,

You are under the false impression that it's easy to rank for keywords on free blogs. I don't know what you have heard or where it came from, but it's just not true!

If you want to make money online, you have to treat your effort as a real business and put some time, effort, and money into it. No one is going to give you money by doing what you're proposing.

Start a real business or don't waste your time with this nonsense.

It depends what your purpose is. If you want a host for your "main" blog, then I agree with the folks above that suggest getting your own host and domain.

However, if you want a secondary blog to get other sites or YT videos indexed quickly, then Blogger is probably best.

I also recommend Tumblr as a secondary blog. One main benefit is the ability to build an audience directly from other Tumblr members, such as building "friends" and/or "followers" on other social media. Tumblr is the best blend of both, a blog and social media.

There's also a number of other excellent sites to use a "parasite" sites for SEO purposes.

Don't waste effort writing on free blogs you will never own. Get your own domain and hosting. Get out of the "I don't want to invest in this" mentality. You need to invest in order to build a real business. You want to build blogs that you own and are your own assets.

I would recommend the big two - Blogger & Wordpress ...but I agree with the above posts, you can still use the blog platform but better have your own domain/hosting which is dirt cheap nowadays, you can even get them for "free" but as the saying goes "you'll get what you've paid for".

you may try wordpress.com for a free blog

but for me ... wordpress.com is just a tool to learn how to use wordpress and how to start a blog.

if you want to build a site and make some money from it, try to buy a domain, it doesn't cost too much.

    $10 for .com domain
    $50 for first year host
so the total cost for first year will be less than $100

in this 12 months to try your best to make some dollar from this site, if you can make more than $100 from this site, then it answered your question, FREE BLOG!

if it doesn't make any money, it mean you picked wrong KEYWORD / niche / offer, and just drink less coffee next year, no big deal.

by the way, be aware that free blog host will not allow too many affiliate links and they offer promote their service on your blog

I suggest avoiding free blogs because it limits your customization ability and you really don't have full control of your website. Free blogs also tend to put their own advertisements on your pages to cover the costs of offering free hosting. If you're looking to get a real domain/hosting check out this article Get Started - Online Side Hustle

With that said.. if you do want good free blogs, I would say Wordpress.com, Tumblr, or Blogger. They are good for creating 2.0's, but I would never use it as a means to create my main money site, it looks extremely unprofessional.

Depends on what kind of blogging your doing I suppose. You have wordpress of course. I use blogger but that is mostly because I do affiliate marketing. Something like using wordpress you need to be careful.
