Writing Effective Call To Actions To Promote Affiliate Products

Hey Warriors, I have two health and fitness blogs where I give tips on weight loss, nutrition and general fitness advice. I always provide helpful information.

I rarely ever link to any affiliate products because to be honest, I don't want to come across as somebody who is trying to spam or is just looking for a quick buck.

I would like to earn a little extra cash from the long hours of content I write everyday so my question is how can I write a good call to action at the end of every article that links to an affiliate product on Clickbank or amazon, that powerfully persuades people to to action.

For example if I write about say "Top 10 exercises for burning body fat" or "Chest exercises for building muscle". If possible, please give some sample "Call to actions" that I could use to get people to click on product links.

I'm sure, I'll get a ton of answers. Thanks

A better strategy is to get the prospect to sign up for the "10 Exercises" or whatever, and then you can continue to market to them. IE. more than once.

    Imagine that.

Instead of sending them straight over to the affiliate sales page, you can warm them up with emails, articles, videos, infographics, pdfs, whatever content you like.

And then give them multiple chances to click over to the sales page.

    From multiple pain points.

    Not just once.

CTAs are different every time, based on the problem, solution, hook...the way you're approaching the sale.

That's why multiple attempts are good: they give you the chances to try out several angles.

Sometimes the best calls to action don't look like calls to action, especially for Amazon products.

I've found that using links like "when you start this program, you should weigh your portions until you can replicate them by sight." The link goes to either Amazon's page for a kitchen scale or a page on your blog with the "good, better, best" options for kitchen scales. Tag the link to open in a new tab or window.

It doesn't have to be an explicit, in-your-face, "click here for the latest miracle shiny object."

It sounds like you may have a substantial assortment of articles that you've written. Consider using one of the above suggestions (ideally, a combination of both) for developing a funnel process.

In addition, I recommend that you distribute these articles widely in relevant publications such as ezines, other blogs, websites, and even offline magazines and newspapers.

You may find that conversions will improve by citing authoritative references, particularly with articles in publications that directly target your reading audience.

[Note]: Never put Amazon affiliate links in your CTA or article body if your articles appear in other publications or when sending out email promotions. This is expressly forbidden in Amazon's TOS.

Yep as the saying go you start with cold traffic then you warm them up with your knowledge and then when there hot to you you then try to offer them some great incentive.
