Amazon Review Question - Images

Hello

For amazon review websites are you allowed to post the images off the product from the amazon page onto your own website?

A lot of the plugins seem to scrape them anyway and put them on your website and all the amazon review websites off my competitors seem to all have the same images as well which are obviously from the amazon product page

Was just wondering if this was allowed or not ?

    Amazon provides (multiple versions of) images in their advertiser API, so clearly Amazon wants you to use their images, so long as you are driving traffic to Amazon and not for any other purpose.

      Ok good thats what I thought,

      I came across a website which said you shouldn't use their images as you dont have the rights to,
      which is why I asked.

        When you look at the product page, you sometimes see two different kinds of images. There are the images that Amazon owns the right to, which are fine to use as long as you are sending visitors to Amazon. You sometimes also see user-submitted images, where the person submitting the image still holds the rights and simply licenses the image to amazon by uploading it.

        It's like this post - in hitting "Submit Reply", I'm giving WF a pretty broad license. But that license does not extend to you - you can't just copy ,my post and use it for your own purpose without my permission.
