In recent months, people have been finding it difficult to get accepted by eBay. Apparently, they're not given any reason for the denial. A few that I know of have called eBay and then got accepted. I'm not sure what it was that changed eBay's mind, but it's worth a quick phone call to try, I guess.

The problem is basically related to transparency, as long as they don't give specific reasons for the denial, its not possible to know why we were denied. Depending on various other factors too, the ebay partner membership is biased :|

Is this some kind of affiliate program with ebay, like being an amazon affiliate?

That's me, denied for no apparent reason on a great site. Maybe I'll try again and then give them a call if they don't accept me this time.

Thanks!

They reject most applications, if you contact them either by phone or email and let them know you are genuinely interested in being their affiliate, they will usually then accept you.

I have had many of my customers be rejected and then emailed them and then get accepted.

For one thing if your website/blog is already monetized when you apply to them (especially if it is a new site) the chances are greater that they will deny you. You can raise your chances of approval by listing your website without any affiliate programs or anything and then when and if you get approved you can begin to monetize your site how you wish.

I agree with misterwrecker. It's better to submit a web site address for a site that doesn't have any items for sale on the main pages of the site.

If you don't have a site like that, create a blog on a subject of interest to you - related to items that might be for sale at eBay (ie camcorders, beatles collectibles, etc).

Add a few pages to the blog, and then resubmit your application using that blog as the url for your site.

I was looking for the link to the audio of a recent explanation from someone at EBay, but I can't find it.

Apparently they're looking for real content sites that are not simply affiliate sites. Without a site you won't be approved, from my understanding. Also, it's important to make sure that your WhoIs information is available and up-to-date, and it should match both your site contact info as well as the contact info on the EPN application. That's my recollection of the latest statement, anyway.

Good luck with it.

There is a great article on how to get into eBay Partner Network on the website of thenichestorebuilder.

If you go there and search for epn, you'll see the article entitled: "7 Tips for Getting Accepted into ePN - eBay Affiliate Network".

It mentions one or two of the points made by posters in this thread, but there are some other ideas too.

Smart Internet Marketers never overlook eBay - still a surprisingly easy way to make money.

I was rejected by ebay when i presented my blog as new and for my description was like a sales pitch with no idea or how much traffic was going to go to the site. Two weeks after rejection i tried with another blog explaining where and how I get my customers and what sort of traffic I will be driving to my site and I was approved.

I am not into CPA marketing but i am assuming they have a similiar process.

Hi,

How do you actually re-submit your application? I am really lost, there is no instruction in the email and my user name is not working at all??
