...you market it?

I've read initially they contracted out some shady doings with scraping craigslist. Anyone have any real ideas on how to accomplish a marketing strategy for a site lie this?

    In fact, there's a subforum here regarding GH.

    Get up to speed.

    Very useful for people with app-based or SaaS businesses.

    GH's how AirBnB was able to get big so quickly.

    I wouldn't compete with them head on though.

    There are many nice subniches in regional markets that can be quite lucrative as far as the 'shared economy' is concerned.

    Start there.

    I'm living in an Airbnb room right now.

    I would investigate offline marketing. I was in Earl's Court station the other day and it was full of advertising boards for dotcoms. It's probably expensive to advertise there, but probably many times cheaper than using PPC online advertising.
