Should i build a list around the "Muscle-Building" niche or the "SixPackAbs" sub-niche?

I should be specific and go for the Six Pack Abs OR build a list around the Muscle-Building in general?

    Muscle Building... and know your ideal customer.

    Gender, age, weight, problems / struggles, what they are going through, phrases they use, etc.

    Then speak to them, and only them...

    And then hey, maybe they will want help with 6 pack abs, too.

    reverse engineer! If your going to be building a list it is always good and wise to have a front end offer to give you some up front capital. With that said you need a product first.

    You could do it on both and test and see.

    Your traffic might be a little more tightly targeted with something like 6 pack abs against just muscle building but play with it and see.

    You might just hit something good right off the bat...

      Who needs six-pack abs? I already have a keg.

      Seriously, though, why not aim for a collection of lists - six-pack, buns of steel, gun show, etc.

      Or six-pack for toddlers, octogenarians, single white female middle school teachers, etc.

      Of course, if you have advanced Dunlap's Disease, or you need either a mirror or an assistant to tell if your shoes match, you might want to pick a better topic.\

        Lots of good answers to consider in this thread. Personally, I think it depends.

        "It depends on which one can you "add value to" that the other hundreds of programs don't have. What untapped niche are you filling in the market that others haven't done or not filled as well as you could?"

        Please don't ignore or discount the question above or you'll be in danger of being just another "me-too" marketer. Then unless you have major bucks, marketing muscle or credibility you'll be buried by those who do.
