Not long ago, one or more of the domains you searched for showed as unavailable. We've just learned that the status has changed to "available" for the following domain(s)*:

adhikar.org "

Today ,I got this email from godaddy and I purchased this domain name(Adhikar dot org ). on searching whois history this domain name was initially purchased in 2004 and got expired today.

Any domain without a website is worth exactly what you paid for it. Possibly less if you bought it in an auction.

The ONLY circumstances when a domain is worth more than what you paid for it, is if / when you are lucky enough to find a buyer who wants or needs that exact domain name more than you do.

And don't take my word for it. This fact is something I learned from Master Domainer Gene Pimentel (the words are his ).He makes a good living domaining.

If you have a specific use for the domain . . . then great . . . if that is what you want.

If you're planning on flipping the domain that's another matter.

You'd better focus on flipping it to someone who wants it, knows what it means, and is willing to pay for it.

Generally, consistent monthly traffic to a web site built on a domain, and even better, consistent monthly revenue generated by the web site are the two most important factors in flipping domains.

The fact that you have a dot org domain is a negative if you or someone else plans to make money from it. Dot com is the preferred extension.

So, if you find a Hindi speaking webmaster that wants it great. If you're going after "the masses" it won't have any appeal.

        Good luck,

Since the domain is expired its authority is high, you will definitely be benefited with it. Go ahead and create your site.

Domain authority comes simply because that domain is expired? I don't think so.

Please show us where Google verifies your claim.

The fact that a domain was previously registered and is now expired means nothing.

Aged domains are overrated IMO. Google knows when a domain has been dropped and a new owner takes over. They know when a new website is placed on a domain. Any authority or PR from the old site will be lost shortly and links will become irrelevant if the new site's niche and focus is different from the original.
