Guys, I have some questions about article marketing as I am new to this game. I have been writing really good articles which target long tail keywords. I am a little confused on how to make them stick. I will get great results for a week or so on the first and then they disappear. Here is my process and let me know which direction I should take. Currently I am writing the article and putting it on one site only. I am not doing any backlinking and am in the process of writing about 100 articles for a whole bunch of different long tail keywords. I was planning on using PAR to spin the same article around 10 times and submit it to different directories and blogs. So what option would be best San Diego Auto Insurance San Diego Car Insurance Option 1 submit a different spun article to 10-30 sites over a 1-3 month period Option 2 submit one article and try to get it to stick by doing a bunch of backlinking. I am trying to find the most time effective method for getting traffic. So is it better to submit several articles or one article and get it to stay ranked. I really don't have the time to do both techniques. Let me know what you think. |

Option 2 will make the articles stay longer on SE. But no harm getting additional traffic with option 1. |

Ya, I am sure that option 2 will make them stick longer, but backlinking can be a time consuming process and I wonder how many backlinks it will take from bookmarks and forums to stick. In option 1 I will be building backlinks to my money site which I would think would be more important, but still unsure. San Diego Auto Insurance San Diego Car Insurance |

| There is no right or wrong answer. You need to do what feels right for you. Try writing one and submitting it to one directory and build up from there. The truth is that you don't have to do any articles at all if you don't want to, there are all kinds of other ways to get traffic.

Ya, I guess the article marketing concept comes naturally to me because I can write pretty easily. I did a lot of writing all through college until I recently finished my MBA. I just hate to see my articles rank really week for a few days and then disappear. I mean they are not even on the first 10 pages anymore. I am wondering if they will come back? I guess it comes down to either building links for the articles or just writing more articles. |

The way to keep your article in the Top 10 is backlinks. Use the same keyword as anchor text and use Angela Edwards' backlinks (look in the WSO section). Articles built around keywords that don't have a lot of competition will do well. I see it happen almost every time. John | |

Zeus66 is very right about ezinearticles "policy". Backlinks to your articles are very very important. That is why you usually see a spike in your article views during the first 2 days of your newly submitted article and suddenly they are like "gone". If you want to use article to leverage on SE and article directories PR ranks, you need to build backlinks. Again, measure the profitability of ranking high in your article and ranking high in your website.. what is your clickthrough rate in your resource box like vs direct traffic from SE to your website. regards |

I am interested in your bookmarking service, but can't send PM's yet. Is there an email address I can get?

Or you can use this trick, submit your article to the top ten directories besides buzzle. Make them at least 30% unique, have anchor text point back to your EZA article and the other back to your site. This gives you about 9-10 backlinks. The key is to find the right keywords. If you find keywords under 50.000 competing pages then this works pretty well. |

I think that link building for articles is one of the best ways to make a successful article.
