Best way to increase more traffic

I'm selling our product (WordPress themes) on the marketplace like Mojo. I want to increase traffic to our site and items on marketplace. How can I archive it? Any idea about this and give me an advice to marketing our items (May be using Adwords, Facebook Ads...)

Very good. Nowadays the facebook or, other social media site is one of the good place for any kinds of marketing. Most of the people spend their gossiping time by using the social media site. Beside the social media site, you can do some other works such as Forum posting, relevant blog commenting. If you can do this kinds of work, your site page rank will be increased beside the page rank your site traffic also will increase. Thanks a lot.

Any ppc on the major search engines is good. I use Microsoft. Banner advertising works well and its nice because its set and forget kind of marketing.

As with any paid advertising always start small till you know you are converting then you can scale up.

Thank EPoltrack77. I will try PPC with Google first, and then with Microsoft. Hope that it helpful to archive more traffic for our products. In my mind, when using PPC, just think about Google/Facebook. Thank for one more option EPoltrack77.

Theme marketplaces like ThemeForest kind of dissapoint. If you choose to sell your products through them, they are judge, jury and executioner—they take a significant portion of the revenue, and they have the authority to dictate what features you include in your themes.

Selling themes independently can net an easy few hundred bucks a month in the right niche.

    I suggest you:

    - Target a narrow niche to get loads of traffic to your theme.
    - Offer a free version (again, because it will get you loads of traffic).
    - Don’t offer human support unless you really mean it.

Themes should be “opinionated“—they should make it really easy to wind up with a great site, and really hard to wind up with a bad one. As a rule, then, I think themes should be designed for exactly the kind of site you’re building.

This can be really important to your success.

When you’re selling outside of a theme marketplace, the hardest part is just getting eyeballs on your offer. You might not be willing to buy ads for your theme (too much of a headache for a side project), so therefore, you are going to have to generate the traffic organically.

If your theme targets a really narrow niche—it’s designed for small insurance firms—it’s a natural fit to dominate the relevant long-tail keywords; here is no reason that within a week of offering your theme on the Web, it can skyrocket to the top 5 results for “free insurance firm WordPress theme.” Two months later, you can be at number 1. This happened to my friend

The first version of your theme that you released can be free. It can be fully functional—there’s no bait-and-switch. But, the free version isn’t quite as helpful as the other, paid version.

It doesn’t include pre-built color themes—though you could roll your own.

It doesn’t include social media integration—though you could wade through the millions of plugins and add it yourself.

It doesn’t include Google Fonts—though you could fiddle with a plugin for that, as well.
It doesn’t include a couple alternate page layouts.

Let’s face it: if you’re trying to set up your own site, and you know you can save a couple hours of fiddling and have things just work, you’ll pay for it.

Advertise the paid version of the theme in two places:

In the documentation included with the free version (so when people are saying, for instance, “How do I use Google Fonts with this?”, the answer will be right there),

On the download page for the free version.

[Aside: If you’re wondering about the actual mechanics of selling the theme on your site, let me save you some trouble: use Gumroad. It takes 15 minutes to get it set up, and you don’t have to worry about PCI compliance or touch a line of code.]

Here are 8 other places to sell your WordPress themes and plugins right now.

    1. Themeforest
    2. CodeCanyon

If someone is looking to sell via marketplaces then using ThemeForest or CodeCanyon makes most sense as these sites are probably getting more traffic than the other 7 combained, also they do rank well in Google.

    3. WP Eden
    4. ThemeSnap
    5. WP Shop
    6. Creative Market
    7.Okay Themes
    8. Web-Savvy Marketing
    9. Carrie Dils

If you are not particularly fond of Envato, they certainly have done a good job in pushing conversions for sellers and getting tons of traffic to your product pages.

You should also start a YouTube channel.

    Many thanks.

Thank so much @Rich Lowe, it's really helpful with your suggestion in my case.
I'm trying to setup Gumroad to sell the products on my own site and using socials to increase more traffic to the site and having one more channel to sell products, it's not dependent too much to marketplaces.

Regarding long-tail strategy, I also read that strategy (business pattern) in Business Model book. And I'm following it to build the some niche products like you told above.

      Finally, thanks one again

One that most marketers aren't really utilizing yet that has huge ROI's is Facebook Video ads.

Spend a few bucks in PPC advertising and see if you can convert. Experiment, A/B test, see what works. If you convert and your ROI is positive, scale up. Rinse and repeat.
