Paul, there are loads of ways of doing it, I would recommend using a service like e-junkie as they manage everything for you.

Oh I've heard about e-junkie before.
Do I need to upload all the files to download in their server? or use my own server?

You Upload it to their server and they'll send out an email after the purchase.

If you are using PayPal, you don't really need a script. You just need to set it up in PayPal when you set up the Buy button.

However, this is always a challenge for newbies.

My advice is for you to buy the PayLock Generator. It makes creating the Buy button a breeze, and the beauty is that the button is encrypted and makes it difficult for hackers to find out where your download page is. And it will redirect buyers to the download page once the purchase is completed.

This is the most basic approach.

But if you are willing to spend some money, investing in DLGuard would be good. It safeguards the download page so that no one can guess where it is.

I think Davion answered your question since you already have a Paypal account so I'd advice you follow him or the e-junkie referred to earlier. But, if you're looking for another alternative, you'd consider Clickbank but then that depends on the kind of product you're selling.

All you need to do is signup for their services and they'll take care of the payment and delivery for you. Plus, you get the chance of letting other people (affiliates) promote your product(s) in return for a certain percentage per sale they make.

I hope you find that useful...

I would suggest you go straight to DLGuard. It is not that expensive and it gives you a lot more control over what you do.

If you are serious about building a business and not just playing around then you have to get comfortable paying for good software that makes like easy.

After you launch your product you will possibly want to do autoresponser integration, coupons, free promos for reviewers and affiliates, etc.

Dlguard gives you all this and more.
