Is Home Alarms Niche for Amazon Store a Profitable Approach?

I own a domain which is thehomealarms.com, Initially the site was a content site which focused on Interior Home Design (I bought the site on Flippa). The n I scrapped the idea of the content site and thinking of turning the site into a Amazon Store.

Any guidance on the decision is helpful.

Thanks

Assuming you know how to generate targeted traffic to the site (if you don't it doesn't matter what you are selling on the site), I would think you would make a lot more money by generating leads to companies that do home alarm installations like ADT, Comcast, etc. compared to anything on Amazon.

It's why you do market research . . . to show the potential for a business and products before you get too far down the road. It will tell the size of the market, who and where your potential customers are, and what products or services they're asking for. Don't leave this step to chance or you're basing your business on guessing what your audience is all about.

The home alarm niche is extremely lucrative, but it is also very difficult to compete with established service providers and other entrenched marketers. I recommend that you focus on DIY products, for which Amazon has a vast array of selections.

Having been in dozens of highly competitive niches myself (including security systems for businesses) I found an effective marketing strategy is to first build a list by selling Amazon books on this topic. The books your prospects buy will indicate the direction to take for your follow-up product promotions.

Thanks for pointing out the next stage of discussion that I wanted to ask you senior Warriors. Yes to a certain extend your point is valid. I have not learnt how to build traffic and strategies to build traffic. I have gone through lot of articles but still I am not able to find out the exact trick for Free Traffic methods.

Any Proper guidance and correct path towards learning on Traffic Generation would help.

Also You mean to Say instead of developing a store to sell Alarm Systems, site of Alarm installation guide and redirection to major players would generate more income?

You could always click the SEARCH link on the top nav bar of the forum. You'll get your answer for topics that have been discussed as well as find info from lateral subjects.

If home alarms has low competition and you can check that using long tail pro or market samurai, it could be a gold mine to market

If you want organic traffic, an amazon store would not work, visit the search engine optimization section to learn about SEO, but first be sure you like the niche enough to put the time in

You need to add more contents to your website.
Where do you plan to get traffic from? Search Engine, PPC? It is hard to get buyers buy through your links.

It does not have low competition and Market Samurai is a useless POS.

Setting up a pure Amazon store won't work. You need to write reviews, get organic traffic to the site and from there build a amazon affiliate marketing monetization plan.

Ages ago I had a crummy little adsense site all about home security systems. But I remember that I always got high earnings per adsense click. So I'd imagine that if you can build some content and reviews for popular and new security systems and driving some organic traffic, there may still be good money to be made via adsense or similar such monetisation.
