Good name for a blog for a Boat Parts Website?

Hi guys,

I'm currently doing internet marketing for a marine accessories /boat accessories site.

They sell boating electronics, parts, accessories, etc.

I said we should add a blog to the site, in order to produce content, and we are in the process of doing so.

However, now they have decided that they do not like the word "blog", and that it is too plain for them. So, not quite sure of what could be a good, short, term to name the "blog".

Was thinking "Product Info", but they didn't like it too much.

Anything good you can think of? I will most likely be writing about descriptions of new products that come in, and try and gain ranking for different parts/electronics they sell.

I don't want it too long, and I don't want to distract buyers too much, as the link will be on the home page at the top. (It most likely won't be prize winning writing - I know nothing about boating). So the main goal will be to attract traffic, and get them in the store.

Any ideas?

West Marine has "West Advisor" for instance.

Captain's Log. May not be a SEO friendly keyword phrase though.

The name itself is not very important and it will not likely come into play anyway for SEO purposes, so just name it something witty.

"Captain's Log" is a good one. Here's a few more combinations to think about-

Start it with- Boating, Marine, Deep Sea, Captain's, Landlubber's, Ocean, Sailor's, Pirate's
End it with- Log, Chart, Journal, Diary, Locker, Treasure, Knowledge, Booty, Mate

A catchy name will do though I can't give some good catchy name for now haha
This is the best thing I come up to, "BoatingNeeds" or "BoatFloat"
    Hope it helps..

      "Hole in the Water"

Ask any boater and he'll know immediately what it means.

A boat is commonly referred to as a hole in the water, into which one pours vast amounts of money.

I love some of the suggestions above. No blog should have to be named 'blog" - it's so overdone.

If they don't want "funny" - why not something simple like

        Everything Boats
        New for Boaters
        Latest Info for Boaters
        Top Marine Accessories
Latest Products (or New Boat Products - or New on the Market)
        Marine News
        Marine Technology

If you are adding the blog to the site - you can use a subdomain or folder and don't need to worry about domain availability.
