PayPal and moving to another country ?

A friend in the website world has built up quite a large monthly incoming amount via recurring payments via paypal, he currently lives in the UK and will be moving to Spain in about 5 years, he says he's worried that he might lose these payments if he moves. If it was you, how would you avoid losing the income please?

It's simple . . . I would study PayPal's terms of service and then abide by their rules. It really doesn't matter what people on a public forum say. You go to the authority and do what they say.

Tell him/her to worry about this 4 years and 6 months from now. Things change monthly when in comes to IM and technology in general.

As long as he continues to use the same Paypal account, the recurring withdrawals from his customers' accounts will continue uninterrupted.

He will want to change his physical address and probably the bank account information he currently has registered in his Paypal account profile, and will probably be asked to verify his new information with documentary evidence, but there should be no interruption in service.

Contacting Paypal beforehand via telephone can ease the process..
