I have a keyword research question that I have wondered about for over a year now. I'm strictly using this as an example as I have never researched this keyword before. If I found a keyword that turned out to look promising such as "slim stomach". If I write an Ezine article and I write "slim your stomach" in a sentence, is that the same keyword. In other words if I write "slim your stomach" does that count the same as "slim stomach". I have been trying to use the exact wording but often times it isn't really the correct way to say things. Thanks to all for any help I may get on this. Steve |

IMO "slim stomach"="slim stomach" 100% "slim your stomach"="slim stomach" 70% IMO google interconnects and equates words based on their usage on authority sites. if you do an exact match in the google keyword tool for "slim your stomach"and you see "slim stomach", then I would assume there is a defined relationship. |

You do want to keep the keyword that you found intact and exactly the way it appears because if you change the order of the keyword phrase then it changes the traffic and the competition amount..also you do not want to put the keywords in as much as you can into the article..that is called "keyword stuffing" and google or Ezine articles will penalize you for it..or it may not even get indexed..you want a keyword density of 1% meaning once every 100 words is the best optimization. good luck -Mike

Forget trying to manufacture a specific KW density %. Waste of time. Use it in the title at or very near the beginning, such as: Slim Stomach - 3 Ways To Get Chiseled Abs Use it at or near the beginning of the first paragraph. Try to use it again near the end of the article. Don't sweat using it more than that. Go with what reads naturally. It'll work out. What matters much much more is using the exact KW as anchor text in your backlinks. That's where the true ranking power comes from, not some magical, on-page "perfect" density percentage. To answer your question about variations, "slim stomach" and "slim your stomach" are not going to be viewed as identical by EZA and Google. If you want to rank well for "slim stomach" then get backlinks that use that as the anchor text. Do the same for the other KW phrase if that's the one you wish to rank well for. If you have time and want to rank for both phrases, work both phrases into your article and split your backlinks between the two versions of anchor text. John |

You can also change the keyword with punctuation without it being an issue. So - Five Exercises to Get Slim: Stomach Weight Gone the Easy Way A, an, and, the are also generally considered ok. |

I was looking up custom keyword research and came upon this thread. Very helpful. I usually use Easy WP SEO plug in to take care of my on page optimization and it really helps but at the back of my mind I always wondered about the same question though of course not the same words. Some of the articles do come out unreadable when you stuff it with the keyword so I got a good tip above that it should be every 100 words. True gems that I always find through the Warrior Forum! Love it! |
