Looking for coach/mentor

Hey everyone like the title says I am looking for a coach/mentor.

I keep seeing "build from scratch" but I am already in a position with a business and products, email lists and slowly growing traffic/revenue. I have gotten this far from diving in and going for it but I need to learn more. I want to learn more from someone that has done it. I am at a start-up and I love our products so I want to do everything I can to grow.

I am hoping people have some suggestions of mentors or the like that can help me not only fortify my foundation as a marketer but also see where I am now and help me grow. I kind of fell into this and now I am addicted and I need to grow in this industry.

Thanks in advance everyone!

Since you are already connected to a start-up company, you might want to join LinkedIn groups that provide start-up networking.

You'll find other professionals there who are at different stages of development.

People at more advanced stages can help you with growing your start-up.

Unless you pay for it, a mentor relationship will likely not be built overnight. I'd recommend you consider a time frame (3 months seems fair) and specific goals/characterstics you want, and then build a plan around that!

The things I think would be helpful to consider: What do you need specific help with? What characteristics do they need to have? How much time do you want from them? What can you give them back? How will you find/meet/identify this person? What steps can you take to build a relationship with that person and then escalate it to a more official mentorship/advisor capacity? etc.

I think communities like this one, twitter, networking events/meetups can all be good places to build that connection.
