New products on clickbank- Yes/No?

Just looking round clicky for a couple of products to promote whilst getting my main site going, (will take a while before i can moneytize that one).

Whats the deal with new products on the site? They are unproven but is that a good or bad thing?

Surely it means less competition. Some of the established stuff looks super competetive (and other stuff looks just plain rubbish).

Whats the general opinions re new clickbank products? Anyone had success with them?

I must say looking for a niche on clickbank that looks good and hasnt been done to death or hasn't got huge compo is like digging for gold!!!

      Friend you gotta test. There is no hard and fast rule. Even the clickbank stats can be misleading at times. For example, I targeted a new product that is in a very special niche and used PPC. The conversion rate was very good. I could not do so for PPC with established products because of established competitions.

      When I moved to article marketing, I found that established niches are the ones that make me money for longer period of time.

      Having said all that, these are just my personal experiences and I usually won't be able to fully gaudge the effectiveness of the product until I tried it out.

      I disagree. You cannot have a hard and fast rule such as Never... After all, every Clickbank product was new at one time. If you promote only the ones that everyone has already promoted, you might appear way behind the times as a marketer.

    New products can mean less competition and thus more revenue. Don't dismiss them right away but instead be one of the first few to realize their potential.

    Don't go for New products to promote because we don't whether it works or Scam or else contact the Product vendor for trail copy of his product.
    Most affiliates won't have the patience to contact the vendor unless the product is really good. It doesn't have to be a scam. This can be checked on Google. If the vendor is as good as he claims to be then there should probably be some reviews for him on Google somewhere. Check those out instead. Vendor can lie to affiliates too.

    There's certainly a lot of crap for sale there, yes. As well as some good things.
    And those good things are very tough to find nowadays.

      I just launched my product on ClickBank and it's already making sales for some affiliates. You never know unless you test it out yourself. New doesn't necessarily mean bad.

      Target keywords like

      Product name
      Buy product name
      Product name REview
      Download product name
      Download product name free
      etc...

      No competition for those phrases and if it does ever get decent exposure, you have put yourself in a position to make a lot of cash.

    A new product is just that! A new product. It doesn't mean it's a bad product. Someone has got to start with them anyway! If it turns out to be a good product you have the lead. I think new products are great. Just use good judgment as for the value of the product, that basically it.

      IMO - Gravity has nothing to do with quality. It's more around how heavily the product is being promoted.

      Just to confuse the issue, There are lots of quality products in Clickbank with high gravity, but there are also Just as many products (or maybe more) that have high gravity and are absolutely crap!
