Hello warriors,

i read a lot about amazon niche sites and im a bit confused.

Some people targeting long tail keywords like Best 3d smart tv's , other targeting excat product name : Samsung 32F2503M .

So, what you think, which option is better? To mix these two,or to stick to one option.

Anyway product name ussualy have amazon, wallmart and other ecommerce sites for competition.

Thanks

I have found it is best to use both because a lot of the people that click on your site just want to buy right away and wont read your review or content. The long tail keywords are good for post titles and other content you write to get your sites ranked. The product name is good for when people just wanna buy and go straight through to Amazon they will find you faster. Pic are very important especially at the top of the page.

I think if you target exact product name you get more potential buyers to your site.. These people are already interested in say: Samsung 32F2503M so they are looking for a legit review before they buy.

Split testing is the name of the game, but I would say if you target exact product names you would do better!

Go either way. Search volumes vary with time. Further to add, test and see what works for you.

Before choosing any of these , you must do a small research on amazon. You need to search with both of these keywords and then you will need ti analyze competition and reviews of those products. Based on that you can decide which to choose

You should also consider throwing in some "holiday" specific keywords to skyrocket your traffic before those heavy spending seasons.

    Thanks for yoru answers.

Maybe silo of my site can be for example:

For product name keywords: LG PANASONIC SAMSUNG PHILIPS ...

And one section for long tails for articles like : best 3d cinema tv, ultra thin led panel tv ...

I always wonder is it easier to rank for produc name where is amazon, walmart and other stores,or to pick some long tails with buying cycles.

Alredy done some product name research, i found 15 products with nice motnhily searches 400-1500 with low competition.

Or you could forget about keywords entirely and build your website with humans instead of Google in mind. And of course if real people find your site useful, they'll link to it and share it -- which will have the side effect of improving your search engine rankings anyway...

if you are going to build a niche site then you need to focus on all the keywords you can find with good volume.

The question of "This or That" comes up here on a daily basis. Do it all. Instead of this OR that, try this AND that

    ^^^ What He Said ^^^

A Product Name/Model is nothing more than just one more long-tail keyword phrase.

You should be targeting as many relevant phrases as possible. You don't want the traffic from the most often used search phrase vs. the second most often used search phrase... You want the traffic from BOTH!

  • Another thing you need to worry about if targeting exact product names with model numbers is that these go obsolete pretty quickly and you now have to create a new page with a new model number over and over again. If you're going to use this approach, target only products which don't come out with a new model every year along with relevant keywords.

If you were going to be promoting t.v.s like with the first example you gave, that'd be a broader keyword that I'd use for a .com site since you shouldn't use brand names in the urls. I've noticed that, as a marketer and as someone who buys technology for various family members and what not, when people want to buy technology, they look up very specific things, so the longer the better. Amazon is a trusted site that does require you to pay taxes on stuff (at least not in my state), so when people go there, they are usually going to buy something in the same session. I know I do.

On my Amazon affiliate site I just used '(Product Name) Review.'

If your articles are long and detailed you'll naturally fit a bunch of other related keywords in anyway. My reviews used to come out to around ~1500 words and never had any problems ranking.

according to my experience, you should choose a set of keywords and birth should be directed to the keyword term, because if you choose niches that many people do, with short keywords you will be very hard to give it up Top

If i understand you completley i decide to share my plan, and i need your word:

One product name keyword : Braun Sx253D - 1000 searches per month
Second keyword on the same inner page: Best water epilator for women - 300 searches per month.

Braun Sx253D and Best water epilator for women 1000+300=1300

Off page seo : Braun Sx253D , Best water epilator for women as main keywords on inner page + generic anchors + varriations.

    What you think ?

As mentioned before use both: product reviews and product comparison and check all your keywords for competition. If the 1st page of google results comes up with all major shopping sites, then it’ll be hard to beat them

It is not about numbers but about buyer intent. Say you are looking at selling Samsung 3d TVs

12,000 people are searching for "best 3d TV" these people do not know what TV they want and just know that they want a TV they have yet to decide on a model, size, make, price etc - if you target this keyword all you are doing is providing information to take them to their next search and you will see very few conversions from this.

2,000 people are searching for "best Samsung 55 inch 3d tv" these people have now decided that they want a Samsung TV and they want it to be 55 inches - this is a better keyword to target than the one above and even though there are less people searching you will see more sales as it's more targeted but you could still do better...

500 people are searching for "best deal on Samsung 55c88003d series" - now we are talking, by this stage they know exactly what they want and are ready to buy! Even though the search volume is much lower than the other two examples you will have a MUCH higher conversion rate, plus long tale keywords are usually much easier to rank for.

The best thing to do is target as many "buyer" keywords as possible. I use the product name with words such as.. Review,Cheap,Buy,Discount,Offer etc. There are loads of keyword tools you can use to find lots of buyer keyword combinations or just use Googles own keyword planner.

I would also set up a YouTube review Channel and create a short review videos and link it to your site - if you target a long tail product name you will find your video can rank quiet easily on both YouTube and Google (be sure to use your keyword in the title, description and tags plus name your video file your keyword before uploading it) You should the. Get some free traffic to your site plus Youtube is a powerful backlink too for your Seo. If you don't like doing video you can get one done for you at fiverr.com for $5

    Hope this helps
