Holding a contest for domain name ideas

How would you structure a contest where you ask contest participants to supply domain name ideas?

Should I focus on the length of the domain name?

Any special rules?

    Domain name, length, extension, relevance (Is the domain tailored towards something? Or just generic?).

    I would start with a Facebook contest for the best domain name. All you need to do is go purchase something of value and tangible. No digital products then run the contest for a week go through all your responses pick the winner and deliver the gift.

    When you create your ad you want to make sure target the right group much as possible your reach will be smaller but more targeted making your ad budget smaller.

    Member Contests

    There are many creative members here that also understand all the criteria for the best domain names.

    My only suggestion would be to have members PM their submissions to you. If they are posting them in your thread you may find someone else scoops up one you wanted before you could register it.
