The Investment Thread

Okay, so basically I trust the members on this forum more than any other community on the modern internet. Compared to nearly every other similar forum, this place shines with so much positivity and people really try to help people. I can't get enough of it.

Anyways, that's just the preface.

I will be coming back to this thread every single time I fill up my investment budget and need to empty it.

For now, it's $2k. That's my budget. Now you tell me what you think I should spend that $2k on that will bring me the most value. I want something smart. Something long term. Something that doesn't involve me hurting or offending anyone, but HELPING. I want the real thing.

I was thinking of spending $2k on good quality visitors to a 17% converting opt-in page (hoping for 10-30k new subscribers from this investment) - but I honestly don't know what the smartest way to purchase high quality, converting traffic would be.

I KNOW that it's most definitely NOT smart to buy bulk traffic from places that offer popunder/popup/redirect/ptv traffic. That never converts high enough to waste time or money on. I'm only interested if the visitor is interested.

I would love for this to be a thread for semi-newbies to refer to when they begin making their first few extra bucks and need some ideas for sowing and reeping more.

So, it's $2k this week, guys. Amaze me! What do you suggest?

EDIT: I'd specifically like to spend $2k to build a quality, work-at-home themed opt-in list. Ideas for this will be most appreciated!

    Hi nanexist,

I'd love to help answer your question, but it would be irresponsible for me to do so.

    Why?

Because I don't know anything about your site(s), business model, business plan or anything else.

There may be a few "one size fits all" ways to spend money, but in your case it may not be the optimal way to invest.

If you get a chance, fill us in on a few of the particulars - better questions = better answers.

Also, you may want to remove the {$=$$} from your title. It's generally frowned upon (though not technically against the rules). Just tryin' to help.

    All the best,
    Michael

Well right now I'm promoting an article landing page that promotes 2 high converting work-at-home CPA offers. However, I'm open to try other ways of acquiring sales. Namely, list building. I'm very interested in building a high-quality list and I guess I really would rather taylor the question to that.

What is the best way to spend $2k in order to achieve the most quality opt-ins for my work-at-home themed list?

Im guessing either PPC or SEO.

If your not going to do the work yourself them outsource it all... or get senuke and outsource the rest (pm me for affiliate link too )

Otherwise PPC and target the directly related keyphrases to send them to your landing page and have an optin form for them to get something free or whatever.

Both will see your list grow but seo is more permenant too but will take a while before you see huge results.

why not look around the wso section and see what can help you the most, with a fraction of that 2k, i am sure you would be able to achieve the results you want.
