proper way to use testimonials.

So some of you may have noticed that i have been trying to start my business in writing articles but I offered 5 free articles in return for a testimonial.

What is the best way to use the testimonial?

Do I just post my ad in the classifieds and let the people i gave free articles to post there or do I have them write me a testimonial and paste it into my post?

    Hi Jim,

    This may not be the best way, but it's how I do it.

    Any testimonials I receive before a launch (the free articles in your case) go into my ad.

    Then I ask any takers of the offer to leave their comments in the thread - and include the link to it to make it easier for them.

    I also like to pull a short snippet of each testimonial in my WSO and highlight it ABOVE the testimonial it's from - if that makes sense.
