Default Ebay questions

Hi all, newbie Ebay questions:
  1. Auction has 1 bid. Current bid is $1000. Ebay asks for $25 bid increments. Bidder is not willing to pay more than his current bid. I am willing to pay up to $1500 for the item. I place a bid of $1500. Will I pay only $1025 if there are no higher bidders?
  2. Auction has 1 bid. Current bid is $1000. I place a bid: $1051 and became the highest bidder at $1025.
    • 10 seconds before auction ends sniper came in and bids $1050.
Am I the winner at $1051 even though I'm only $1 higher?
    • 10 seconds before auction ends sniper came in and bids $1051.
      Who's the winner?
    • 10 seconds before auction ends sniper came in and bids $1051. Is he is the winner?

1. Yes you will pay $1,025

2.Yes you are the winner even if you are $1 higher. If the sniper bids the same as you then you are still the winner because he has to bid more than you.

Just to clarify for you on the bidding. Ebay has their system set to where the sniper would not be able to bid the same as you. It will force him to bid higher than your current bid or not bid at all.

Hello,
whoever has the highest bid is the winner,if you are not listed as the winner at the end of the auction you did not win.

Something new soon.

I agree with Lou. If the sniper came and outbid you, he won the auction
