Advice regarding hiring a Philippines VA

Hi,
can someone who has/had a Philippines VA share a sample of an employment contract/agreement?
Also, which platform do you recommend to find such an employee, I am only familiar with onlinejobs.ph .
What is the average hourly pay for non-high level online jobs in PH?

Thanks in advance.

I'd recommend going through Odesk/Upwork (they just changed their name). Then you don't really need a contract. You can have them hold the money in escrow until you're satisfied with the job. For low-level jobs, you can pay $2/hour. I'd recommend getting them to train for free or demonstrate a day's work for you so you can make sure they're up to the job.

Elance and Odesk are the best site to hire freelancers.

I think elance is gone to the pits, any job postings is greeted with 10 practically spam posts immediately , ignoring the job and just listing fake (and I have checked plenty) portfolios.

It's no wonder there going to Upwork, hopefully the owners of the website will do a better job there.

One the other side of things, because I apply for jobs there regularly, jobs are just not being awarded.

In the last 20 jobs I applied for in over a couple of months, not one was awarded!, whatever about getting the job that's just competition everyone has a chance but I'm getting the impression that people setting jobs are just getting sick of the place too.

Upwork is a great place to find workers. I've spent a lot of money on their hiring some great people to do everything from posting links, writing articles, building wordpress sites, designing apps - all sorts of things.

Also hired a VA from Ph on their for abour 6 months and the guy was a dream to work with. Just remember to pay them well, pay an extra month (month 13) at xmas and always allow a few days here and there where they may disappear due to power outages, which can be very common in Ph.

You can contract both Fixed price or, Hourly basis as you wish. Hourly basis may good then the fixed price, if the project is medium or long time.

There are a lot of great online job sites in the Philippines which are way cheaper than Onlinejobs.ph. You can try Mynimo.com, iStaff.com, Freelancer.ph, Pinoyjobs.ph, Elance, Upwork, Jobspot.ph, Staff.com, TaskRabbit, Guru..actually a lot more websites are offering outsourcing services. You can also check the Warriors For Hire section for this. Or if you are looking for other options aside from Upwork and Elance, check this list.
What is the average hourly pay for non-high level online jobs in PH?
It ranges from 10k-15k a month (Philippine money)

I hired my VA from PH through elance. Something I learned is that you have to be very firm and thorough or else things could go bad.

My VA eventually started making all sorts of excuses, delaying my work where I told her that she was going to get fired if she continued to make shitty excuses.

She's been on it so far. But yeah, just make sure you're extremely clear. At times, probably have to make a powerpoint just so they really understand what you're trying to accomplish.

I'm glad I found this thread because I am in the market for a VA to work about 2 hours a day, 5-6 days a week. I am looking for someone to run my click banking campaigns. If you can outsource and scale this method then the potential for list building is huge (MMO/Biz Opp niche is best for this). There are some people getting hundreds of new subscribers per day doing this and also killing it with CPA at the same time.

The work itself is quite basic. It basically involves posting ads requesting partners in the click banking groups, then interacting with potential partners to set up deals and setting up the campaigns in my tracking software.

I have had an offer from a VA I have been chatting with on Facebook. She has quoted me $25 a week. While I'll admit the work is not difficult, I feel that may be a little low. However, I know that currency has different values in different countries and I don't know if that is considered a decent wage for a citizen from the Philippines. I don't want to insult anyone by not offering them what they are worth.

If there are any Warriors from the Philippines reading this thread I would love your input on this. Either way, I think I will definitely pay more than $25 a week for this service.

may pay you to 175-449 php per day. (3.7$ per day - 9.60$)

Upwork and Freelancer.ph are great places to get VAs from. Most VAs from the Philippines are great to work with. But make sure that you find the right ones and that you read reviews from their previous clients. And it's true, you should pay them well and reasonably.

I definitely want to pay my VA right. I have an offer right now from a VA I met on Facebook for 10 hours per week at PHP 10,000 per month. I guess that's around $213?

That would be about $50 a week. The service I need performed is very simple and will only require about 60-90 minutes of work per day, and it will not be all at once. It will be 10-15 minutes several times a day.

Have you thought of using a VA agency. I have a business colleague who allocates VAs according to your needs. this way you do not have to look for several different people to do your work.Prices are reasonable and you save time trying to find the right fit.
Need more info? send me a message and I will get you the details
