Yes I have gone from making sales intermittantly every 6 days to now making sales every day. If you are promoting affiliate products try payperclick advertising with targeted or long tail keywords. If you have your own product make a WSO on this forum and you will get sales.

You need a strategy Maya. Work out one or two methods with which you will focus on to generate sales from Clickbank.

    In a nutshell:

    1. Drive targetted traffic to an offer or landing page
    2. Presell your visitor and/or offer them a free download/gift
    3. Forward them to the Merchants offer

There are countless variations and tweaks to this basic strategy. Obviously there are other steps you need to take before and after the three above and sometimes, aditional steps in between. Keep reading the threads on this forum and you will start to figure it out.

The only way to determine what works and what doesnt is to try it out and keep testing.

Yes, the only way I've made consistent money with Clickbank is by using ppc. I also had some success combining Squidoo and Google hot trends to market cb products but this is time consuming and the rewards are often short lived.

Thank you for the feedback, I am a little confused as to some terminology, is ppc the same as adsense?

No, ppc is pay per click. It can be with any company.

That's where you are the advertiser paying for each
click on your ad you receive from either search results sponsored listings
or network publishers of content related to your ad displaying it near the content.

Adsense is the Google specific program where you are the publisher of other people's ads being displayed on your site and you receive payment per click received from your website visitors.

Incidentally, since you mentioned Google products, the pay per click
product or program with Google is called Adwords.

      Hope this helps

PS. Yes, I make regular sales regularly with clickbank

I hadn't had a single sale in 2 months and I thought Clickbank was all crap, however a change of tactics (which resulted in targeted traffic) makes me about $100 per day now.

Thanks all for your comments and help.
I made the error of picking products in a bit of a random fashion and not really writing enough articles, did not have a landing page, well not a proper one. I honestly thought that potential purchasers would just randomly click on things and decide to buy them...
Well, back to the beginning for me,
now I first select a product
      find the keywords
      write articles
      make landing page
      cross fingers..

Thank you all for your comments and help, now I hope I have it all down pat, wish me luck.

    Hi there,

I am a bit like you in that I have tried with Clickbank products without much success, but I do know that a lot of what I was doing wrong is that I was choosing products to promote for the wrong reason. You see I was picking products that had zero gravity or anything else because i felt sorry for the author (I have been a writer for a long time). It has taken heaps of research into other people's successful habits with Clickbank to realize that the only time gravity and what have you doesn't count is if the product is a new one that has just launched.

I am thrilled by a couple of comments here that you have had talking about $100 days - it will be us soon, don't you worry - just find a system that works for you and keep at it

    Best of luck

Nobody can tell you what you are doing wrong without knowing what you are doing.

Yes, there are plenty of people making good money with ClickBank, myself included, but I expect we all have different methods.

Tell us yours and we'll tell likely be able to spot why it isn't working - but remember, the devil is in the detail.

A lot of testing is indeed to find the right niche. You can start searching for those that is not too hot as it will be too competitive.

Choosing the right niche to promote will be your starting point. Once you have decided what you want to promote then take the next step to focus and take action.

You can use Adwords, article directories, social bookmarking, etc to start your promotion. It takes hard work to see results at first.

Once you know the right method, stick to it and it will start generating sales. First sale will be important as it will show that you have done something right. Replicate the success thereafter.

Okay, let's just hold the phone for a second.

I'm going to make some assumptions based on your post.

I'm going to assume that you are brand new to affiliate marketing or for
that matter, making money online in general. You have limited knowledge
of terminology, marketing methods, or for that matter, even putting together
      a business plan.

So, this is what I would do if I were in your shoes, which I was about 6
      years ago.

Forget about getting bits and pieces of advice here. It's only going to
      confuse you more.

If you're serious about wanting to run a home based business, get yourself
a qualified mentor to walk you through making a business plan and then
working you through the system of implementing it.

Otherwise, you're going to end up spinning your wheels trying one "tip"
after another and ultimately you will get nowhere.

If you can't afford to pay for a mentor, offer to work for one doing a VA
kind of job. You won't get paid but you'll get experience and you will
      learn.

Take this advice for what it's worth to you.

    Hey Maya..

    How are you?

Without knowing in more detail, exactly what you are doing each day to bring yourself traffic and potential sales.. nobody here can instruct you in any way that could be helpful.

Essentially, what you need to do is find a strategy or method of affiliate marketing.. that has been proven successful by those that have done it before you.. and put it into action with relentless effort.

You may already have your chosen method, you might not... if you have, then maybe talk a little bit about what you've been doing and you'll probably find that people will have a greater chance of giving you some guidance.

    Peace

      Hello Jay,

I must admit that I have been a little haphazard, I have a website, some blogs[Blogger] and 4 Squidoo lenses, unfortunately I just picked random subjects and later added the Clickbank products. Squidoo blocked one of my lenses and I removed my Clickbank ads, this was not necessary I have now found out. Still, I feel like a headless chicken running in cicles and not getting anywhere.
I am now starting from scratch.

Just out of curiosity, how much does a mentor cost and for hold long does a person use a mentor. I've always wanted go that route. Internet is my main core business, has been for 13+ years, thought I knew it all until I stumbled on the world of IM.

I'd be very interested to know more of what a mentor offers.

    Mayapearl:

This is not an "easy" venture. From your comments and post, it appears that you are fairly new to internet marketing. So, if you don't know what PPC is (pay per click by the way); don't even dare try it. You will lose a bunch of money until you know what you are doing.

That probably also means that you can't build a super-snazzy website either. That's okay.

Here is what I would recommend to make your first few sales on clickbank.
    1. Pick a product.
    2. Pick 10 keywords related to that topic that have under 20K exact search results in google. (to get exact search results, put your keyword in "quotes").
    3. Write 2 or 3 articles on each keyword.
    4. Submit the articles to ezinearticles.com
    5. In your resource box; have your link redirect to your affiliate link. You can ONLY do this with a root domain. (example: www. redirect . com is okay but www . redirect . com/page1.html not. This will take the reader directly to the affiliate sales page so you dont even have to create a website.
    6. For extra traffic and sales, build backlinks to your articles.

I am telling you from personal experience that this works. I would do something simple like this, until you are ready to jump into other things. This will allow you to learn and earn some money along the way.

    Hope that helps.

Very helpful, I wrote down all the steps. Thank you, backlinks have me stumped a little, I have been told not to bother because of spam. I don't quite get it, backlinks are when other sites link to you, is that right?

    Hey Maya,

There is alot of money to be made with Clickbank and the beauty is they pay pretty frequently. The downside is there can be alot of competition for a few products. Nonetheless, keyblast has given you a great strategy to follow.

You just started... if that was that easy then everyone would be making money online... there is a lot to learn and from what I've heard majority of those who try to make it online fail and never go back to it. Out of those who make it, everyone finds it's own passion; whether it'd be CPA networks, physical products, or digital downloads. There is a lot to learn and I think everyone has their little secrets that are pretty easy to implement once you know how to do it. You just need to find your thing

    I know the feeling.

I was in hear 3 months ago, and created a very similar thread to yours. I was also having problems getting sales through Clickbank - in fact I had it made up in my mind that Clickbank was crap and all their products suck.

However, after getting more experience under my belt, I re-visited CB and tried different approaches. Now I get sales...but I have gone through 30+ websites learning things that I needed to learn in order to do so.

If you are just starting, don't let the no sale thing get to you. Play around with some other affiliate products and see what you can do with them. Then when you start to understand what sells and what doesn't, go back to CB and give it another shot.

I started using Clickbank about a year ago. It's not the only program I use for finding affiliate products to sell, so I don't concentrate all my effort into it. I basically threw some Clickbank ads up on a few sites I rarely promote and just let organic traffic find them. In the year I've been using Clickbank, I've gotten two checks from them, for basically no work beyond setting up a couple of quick websites. Imagine what I could do if I actually spent some time promoting the sites!

With Clickbank, it's all about the presale, you have to be a bit more agressive in my experience, at least that's how I made my first sale.

It comes down to the fact that Clickbank is a **** load of hype and hot air. It doesn't look professional any way you put it.

You need to hype BEFORE they get to the sales page.

If you are looking for a one night stand and not working on building your name then you need one hell of a copy and a low price point generally speaking.

If you are looking to charge a higher price point then you need to build up your name or pen name to something credible, a list, etc.

Clickbank works and works amazingly, but its still a job.

    I have a question please,

When you Warriors say use Adwords (PPC) then how do you do it?

Do you put your Clickbank affilaite link in the Adwords destination url and then display the URL of the product in your ad?

Or do you use Adwords to drive traffic to a landing page of your own on a landing page of your own about the product and then send visitors to the actual sales page with you link?

Please let me know as I am interested in trying this, but I just don't know which way to use?
