Crowdfunding/fundraising without having a social presence - possible?

I never liked Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, whatever else kids use these days, nor do I want my "profile" to be accessible to anyone by a simple Google search. That said, I never had (nor ever will have) a real account on any of those sites.

However now I've a business opportunity that requires investment AND exposure (it's not a local business), and I have - quite literally - zero social presence online.

Considering all that I said above, should I even consider the possibility of success in crowdfunding, and if so - how should I go about it? After all, it's mainly based on how many people you can get to visit and fund you in the first few days, and I doubt I could even get many people throughout a month or however long the campaign would be run. A couple of friends offered some help (their social contacts), but that's not enough, as as I understand most of their contacts are teens.

Anyway, any advice is appreciated, as I know little to nothing about this whole 'social era', nor do I want to be a part of it, to be honest.

    I don't own a boat - but I have friends with boats.

You don't need a lot of contacts - just one who has all the contacts you need.

I'm sure there is someone who specializes in this field, but not sure how you find them or what it will cost.

See if this tosses you in the right direction:

I can't afford to pay a specialist, that's why I'd be crowdfunding - because I can't afford to pay for whatever it is I'd need to pay.

Wouldn't that be kinda spammy? I bet you anything most of those people who are offering their services there will have a spam list or 'useless' friends list. I wouldn't want to start a business like that.

A very narrow group of people who are interested in particular custom-made specialized products. Which essentially means - random and hard-to-find.
