Amazon plugin for Wordpress

I have purchased several Amazon plugins but never made a dime. It has just cost me for the plugins. My wordpress site xymalf.com gets over 1 million hits per year. Is the real issue that people only trust buying direct on the Amazon site?

    No, that isn't the problem.

Your site is terrible. How much of your traffic actually follows through to Amazon?

An Amazon affiliate site should focus on light preselling and getting the traffic to go to Amazon. From there, Amazon will work to convert the traffic to sales.

But your site is poorly focused - sports watches, grocery, pets, homeware, xbox - your site is all over the place.

Also not enough content, too few photos and too many social share buttons. It looks kind of spammy and maybe auto-generated content.

If you look at the 'Search Cloud' on your site the top items are not ecommerce or product related at all. The large keywords that jump out are: Al Qaeda, European Union, Politics, Muslin, Social Issues, London, Welfare.

None of those terms really lends themselves to Amazon marketing so you may want to re-focus your site and what keywords it is promoting and ranking for.

Asking for donations is a buzz kill on a commercial site. I would remove the PayPal donation form.

Add some in-line text links to Amazon. They convert better than the Amazon badges for traffic.

I saw very few images. Add images and link them to Amazon as well. People are naturally inclined to click on images.

The content looks scraped too. There is not a lot of engagement or added value beyond the copied Amazon content.

This looks like a typical cookie-cutter Amazon plugin-scraped affiliate site that has not even been developed enough to focus on a particular niche or product.

It needs a lot of work to become more valuable or it really needs to be more tightly niched to find some long-tail keywords and avoid heavy competition.

Right now it is very generic, unfocused and seems to be existing without a plan.

Why not a free website template that is eye-catching, there are plenty if you do a Google search.

Use themforest and find a great theme, but before your buy the theme, find someone probably a web designer to advice you on what theme you should choose for your website. And start reading about email marketing, i can't find where to put my email on your website.

You site looks terrible and take too much time to load. Your bounce rate must be higher. Increase your website speed and add unique content on amazon product post.
