Has anyone had any success with Etsy

Hi everyone,

I have been reading a lot of negative comments about Ebay lately and understand that they are inconsistent when applying various policies. Being in NZ though I was hoping to use Ebay as one way of driving traffic to my sites and selling my information products directly.

I got put onto Etsy through an art colleague of mine but I was wondering if anyone on the forum has actually sold information products through there - I see they do allow it but is it worth it?

I don't know about selling info products on etsy . . . but I recently read that their turnover topped $100m last year. Not exactly eBay, but it does say something about how much traffic and traction they get.

Etsy shoppers will buy some sorts of Public Domain material,
especially artwork. Books, especially crafting books and vintage
books sell well on Etsy as well. If you want to sell successfully
on there get to know the minds of the buyers who use Etsy,
why they use it, and which emotional needs they get met through
using Etsy to buy. Tailor your product to fit the profile.
