Holding a Name Creating, Prize Winning Contest Here, a Good Idea?

Hello everyone. I know it appears that I am very new to WF but I have been a undercover explorer of this site for almost four years. I have read many posts comments, books, articles and etc on the subject of internet marketing and I am looking to officially delve in myself.

I wish to create a website dedicated to marketing products one can buy AND promote such as e books, audio programs and perhaps even websites in the future; essentially e products (maybe more later on down the road). A person will be able to come to the site and look for e products based on their specific needs. Also, if they have a product they would like to promote, they can.

My current issue that has stopped me from taking any steps forward is a name for the business / website. For some reason, nothing I come up with seems to stick with me, and due to this, I have decided to look to others for ideas.

I wish to hold a contest asking people to come up with the best name (and possibly slogan) for this business. They would be given an allotted amount of time to come up with a name. The person who gives me a name that strikes a chord with me the most will be given $35. I thought this would be a really cool way to not only receive a name for my business, but to give someone the opportunity to make money online, even though its just one person. Making money online(rather the amounts people are looking for) can be very hard goals to reach and I thought it'd be great to do my part by putting something out there that has a reward larger than 10 dollars.

So what do you guys think? Should I hold this contest in the Contest and Challenge Section of WF? Should I tweak some things? Would you be willing to participate? Any and all thoughts would be very much appreciated. And if all goes well and this is a good contest to hold, I will post it ASAP.

Thank you all for your time

I think that a lot of people are skeptical of competitions because prizes are never given out, prove that it is a real competition and then people will enter it.

That skepticism seems fair. How would I go about proving that this is contest is legitimate? Do I announce the winner afterwards?

I had every intention on posting there but I wanted to ask if it was okay to do so first.
