How Does Your Blogging Schedule Work??

Ok I was just wondering how different people use their time, more specifically the you have set for creating new blog posts.
So here's my questions.

Lets say you want to create blog posts on monday and friday (for example).
Do you research. create and publish the article on monday and friday?
Or do you use tues-wed and/or sat to research and create the article?

I know it all depends on many things...but i was just curious.

I blog typically each day - some are long-form, others are short posts...real mix of content from tips, Q&A, case studies, interesting observations, links, etc...

For most content I write same day, however there are weeks where I am heading out on travel or will be involved in other projects so I create 3-5 days of content in advance.

Ideally you are producing content near real-time with small amount pre-loaded.

What is important too is what you do to go out to other platforms and announce, preview, link back to your content so you drive traffic from other platforms to see your content.

When I was really heavily into blogging, I would Blog two to three times a week.

I made it a habit of doing a Rough Draft the day before publishing. Then on that day I would tidy it up ,proof read it, and then publish

    Check out: https://blog.bufferapp.com/all-about-content-calendar

It will give you ideas on creating your 'content calendar'. Set it up, then make it a habit to follow through with creating content at the right times.

      Great tips!

Here's another one, if you're using WordPress. This free, cool little WP plugin helped me with scheduling so I didn't have to always be looking at and flipping calendar pages:

      http://toolstack.com/SchedulePostsCalendar

I'll be starting up a new blog in the very near future and hope to schedule my posts 1-2 weeks out on Mondays and Fridays.

What I was doing on my (almost) former blog (it gets shut down next month so I'm not posting there anymore), is write and edit the posts on my non-writing days or over the weekend, and schedule them to publish live at around 9:30-10:30AM on my posting days.

On my posting days I did more research for the following weeks blog posts.

I have insomnia, so to stay on a regular blogging schedule, I needed to work that way so the posts would always go live on the same days and times each week, whether I was out of bed yet or not.

That was working pretty well for me.

I write for about 3 days solid per month. Then I schedule my posts via post planner for the entire month.

This may not help much, but for me, it really depends on the topic and how I'm feeling. Sometimes, I write straight from my head. Other times. I think of a topic, and it takes me two days to write it. I think it might be just because I'm kind of lazy and a procrastinator. Maybe it's part of my process. Maybe they are one in the same. I'm weird like that.

I try to write what I learned online the previouse week. or two. when researching on what I want to use to improve my blog I always jot down the important points, then later on after the research and exicution on my blog I draw a draft and follow that draft and write from the heart. 1 article a week between 800-1000 words

I'm not focused on blogging at the moment but am about to get into it heavily over the next 6-12 months. I plan to create 12 blog posts upfront each month and schedule them to be posted 3 days a week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) over the next 4 weeks.

I'll also only produce evergreen content and stay away from "topic of the moment" type posts. I think this is the most effective blogging strategy that will pay of in the long run.

I like that strategy! My next blog won't be a typical "Internet marketing/make money" blog like my last one though. I believe it's going to more of a journal, like 'My journey into real estate investment,' so I may not write them that far ahead.

I think what I may do, so I stay consistent is take notes during the week, write the blog posts over the weekend and schedule them to publish on M-W-F of the following week.

The only "list" I'll be building will be for local investors, not anything global. And more than likely, the only monetization, if any, may be Google AdSense, since my income will be from REI not any affiliate or network marketing "biz ops."

This will be new to me, but there are a lot of other investor sites and blogs I can use as an example.

I blog almost everyday. Works for me. Do what works for you. Don't expect a million traffic overnight.... or even by the end of the month. Mainly my email subscribers read it (and some people on here). You have to test and see how YOUR schedule works for you.
