Hi Warriros, I need your advice on my financial conerns. Sounds crazy that I'm asking for this online but hey I need some serious input on this as i have now clue what to do with this money. Here's my situation. I have $4000 on the side. The money is used to pay for my edcation, monthly. This means I will have about $3000, for the next half year that is just laying in my bank acocunt doing nothing. That's fine so I don't have to worry about paying my school the next year but not so fine since I think if I used some of that money, if only $1000 to invest, within a few months I could multiply it and create a constant, monthly income steam. My problem, time. Since I'm in education right now and working to pay for rent food etc... I not enough time to build a new project from the ground up but would be willing to invest into something that already makes money, is created by somebody else etc.. As long as I at least make my invested money back with a few months. Any suggestions, this is a serious post and if anybody has good ideas I might be willing to go with it. Just reply, PM whatever. Best make a public brainstorming out of it so we all have something from it. How would you invest $1000-$2500 to make the money back + some more money within 3 months?? Tino |

I personally would not invest in anything like a business plan. There is no guarantee with anything! Even if some one promises you the moon. Im assuming that you are IM savvy from your post count that is you know a fair amount about IM. I would leverage the money. With the economy being poor it is a great time to outsource work. Brainstorm a mini project and use a small amount of money to fund the project you could get a couple articles written for $10 get your bookmarking for $10 wait for some money to come in from that ie if you made one sale for $30 use that $30 again to have articles written,bookmarked....few more sales from that etc etc Investing in a business opportunity may mean you may have other expenses related to that hence more money being invested. There is always a catch with anything that you do in life. |

Shana that is actually a good idea. If I'd do it right I could create a few of those mini projects, espscially if I have a bit of money to invest. Thanks for that idea. Tino Quote:

Hey DonTino, I remember you from Sitepointforums. My nickname there was Sparkie ![]() If you have a good chunk of money that you want to spend on something that has the potential to bring you that much back and more - I'd recommend hiring a copywriter for a product that you've either made yourself or that you're an affiliate of. (And I'm not just saying that because I am one!) I'd give the same advice to anyone looking for a way to put their money to work for them! |

As for what I'd do, I would buy domains and content but that's me and continuing my own business plan. | |

First off: I would not partner with anyone where you let them do the “work” and you reap the rewards. Most people feel really good about making promises and then when it comes time to do the work (with your money), they flake out for one reason or another. Here’s what I suggest: Take only the portion of your money that you can risk losing and use it to outsource the creation of a product – your own product. It might be training videos, an e-book on how to spend your $2500, or any number of things. Perhaps it could be something that solves a common problem that people right here on WF have (how to get WordPress to do [insert popular goal here] – or something like that). Next outsource to a copywriter to create a sales letter and free bonus for opting in (so you can build a list). Set up your new product as a ClickBank product. THEN: launch it here as a WSO for 50% off and get some reviews and some affiliates who will sell it FOR you and split the profits either 50/50 or 60/40 (offer a 60% commission for a good product and people will be more motivated to sell for you). Once it is selling well enough to get a gravity of 100+, you should be good to go – just do a little work every day to keep it going and fresh. There are no shortcuts. You can spend your money – or you can invest your money. Choose to invest in your own product and you should do just fine. You will then have an asset for the future. |

You could look into an existing website that is generating revenue that's for sale.

Hi Tino, If I was in your position I would outsource the creation of some software products. You're a great designer so you could easily create a nice minisite and software graphic to go with them. As you probably know, there are many useful apps that IMers require and that you could use to make your IM activities more productive, so I think if you spent $1000 to get 4 useful apps created which you could benefit from in your own IM business, you could easily get that back (and quite a bit more) by offering them to other IMers - even with PLR or Resale rights. Your graphics would add value to the products too, so you could easily charge enough to make your money back quickly. Andy |

How 'about creating an awesome affiliate site, make it convert, and outsource traffic? If you also optimize it, and find some evergreen products, it shouldn't be a problem. Then reinvest all the time, rinse and repeat =) Or you can create some software, and sell as a WSO etc. like someone mentioned above. Btw, I have an awesome idea for an "evergreen" software with great profits potential, and I need money to outsource it. Might partner on that one? Send me a PM if interested. I would say it's a great opportunity =) |
