Here's another idea to help Michael out, which I thought that I would share with you all.
I actually emailed Big Mike about this directly first - he suggested by email, that I post the same message / idea up here to see what other individuals here thought of this... There's a great little piece of blank space right at the very top of every page on the Warrior Forum, sandwiched inbetween the Warrior Forum logo on the left and the Warrior Forum subscribe box to the right. Would the Admin here mind if a $1 Donation Button was placed in this position directly please? Please allow me to explain... Many of us have already donated to Michael but this is a way to make it as afordable as possible to absolutely everyone who considers themselves a Warrior. This button could simply say - Donate Just $1 to The Michael Oksa Fund Members click on the button and it goes to a Paypal page. The minimum donation is just $1 - a single buck. There is another option then which simply say's: (Other): I Wish to Donate .... Enter Amount: This gives absolutely everyone here on the Warrior Forum the opportunity to donate to the Michael Oksa Fund - afterall, absolutely everyone with a Paypal account can afford to donate a single dollar! If someone could get this okayed with admin, design the button and place it in the appropriate prominent position - I think a lot more money could be raised to help Michael out and his family. Other members then could have the option to display on their signatures a direct link to this payment button, hence spreading the word further around the forum. What do others think about this fundraising idea please? And Michael - I truly hope you do not mind be posting this up here too much, I hope I'm not embarrassing you. All I am looking to do, is to look at more ideas for helping you out and getting you and your family back on your feet again, once more. Please feel free to discuss this idea to help it evolve via other Warriors involvement. Kindest regards to you all. Mark Andrews |

I like the idea but I can see one problem with it and that's for Allen. If he does that for Michael, what's going to happen the next time someone needs some assistance? It's his forum, of course, but he may not want to deal with the headaches of choosing who should be up there and endorsed by the WF and who should not. Because once it goes up in the site's header, that's an implied endorsement.
But, hey, if Allen goes for it, I'm all for it. Tina G |

It sounds good in theory, kinda like the "charity" auctions at ebay where you get more exposure. It might work out good fore Micheal and whoever uses the button.
Logistically, it sounds pretty hard to manage. |

It wouldn't have to be a link button there of course, the same button could simply be implemented into individual's signatures, on a smaller scale with some HTML code - or anything similar. It's was just an idea that I thought might be worth putting out there, basically to see what other members thought about it or to bounce perhaps other ideas around, to help the guy and his family out. | |

Hi Mark,
It' a good idea but I think it will be better used for a "Make A Donation To The Warrior Fund And Help People In Need" rather than naming a single person in there.. This is just an idea.... Best wishes, Raul Omar Diaz |

There is no Warrior Fund, at least to the best of my knowledge, so that's another ballgame altogether and I would imagine, much more complicated to put together. Whilst this idea by comparion is relative very easy to implement, if a plan of action could be decided upon.
Michael Oksa has already been singled out as a very well respected Warrior who could use some help right now - this is simply an extension of the other very worthwhile fundraising efforts talking place already to assist this gentleman. Thanks for your input though, all input and ideas to help the guy and his family out are more than welcome here. Please keep the suggestions coming! Many thanks. Mark |

If it's not a possibility to have on the WF direct...
(i really don't see how...agreeing with Tina G.) ....how about if any willing participants added a "donate button" to their own WSO's, Blogs, Social Network Home pages...etc Just a thought... Ken |

If anyone comes up with a button or link specifically for this purpose, I would be more than happy to include it in my signature.
Perhaps if someone with more talent than I could create a decent one page site explaining things a bit with a donate button? Then we could all link to that as well as tweeting it or sharing in other social media. Tina |
