Using testimonials on webpages

I have some salespages that i want to set up and i think they would be more powerful if their were customer testimonials on them. Can somebody please let me know how salespages normally get their customers testimonials on them. Do they get the actual person to review each product that they sell or are they done another way.

What I do to get a testimonial is to actually give my product away for free to a limited amount of people in need.

The last thing you want to do is say "If I give you this product, will you give me a positive testimonial." That's a big No No.

What you should do is ask for the person to provide you feedback. Obviously if they provide excellent feedback, ask them to use it on your salespage as a testimonial. Be sure to grab a picture (so you can use it in the testimonial) of them if they say yes.

Additionally, if they provide great feedback, ask them to give you a video testimonial. Helps conversions even more!

Ask your customer for the testimonials and if they are satisfied with the product, they will happily do so. Just remember to mention them beforehand that you are going to use them in your sales page.
