How to non-IM JV's and Product Partners?

There are plenty of people up for collaboration in the IM niche when it comes to launching a new product, but what about the other niches?

I want to know if I can be just as successful in let's say the 'dog training' niche as I could be in the IM niche.

BUT, that's pretty impossible when there's nobody to partner with (at least nobody with a big list) outside of the IM niche.

What do you think?

    Two comments on this...

    1. In every niche there are authority players who have the attention of your audience. You will find them through their profiles on social (twitter, facebook, IG, streaming sites, youtube, etc...), blogs, forums, article directories, etc... How you approach these authorities is a different conversation - the answer there is to network, engage and then work out a way to help each other.

    2. The second comment is to not rely ONLY on finding partners in the beginning (or ever really...) - also have a plan to capture a dominant spot in your marketplace...commit 110%, get out there and dominate with content, build your own following (even a small one gaining momentum is how you start) and authority figures will begin to take notice - you can then dictate the terms to a greater degree.
