Default BANS, Content Website Builder, Or Wordpress?

I have a website that I created with BANs, but when the Ebay changed things, I know that the affiliate code is redundant now.

It's been a while now, and I have been creating sites with Content Website Builder, and I would really love to get into WP big time, but I'm curious about creating a site with BANs again

What is the best course for me? With BANs I would need to set up a MySql database, and jump through some hoops I'm unfamiliar with.

With Content Website Builder, I can create a site with Ebay, Yahoo! Answers, Adsense, Amazon and Youtube videos. Simply filling in some blanks, create a header and it's sorted.

I've seen some amazing sites created with Wordpress, and that is the learning curve for me. I know that I could incorporate some clickbank with WP, which I can't with CWB.

Here's the site I want to re-create Here

Thanks for your advice Warriors.

Brian

It really depends on what your plans are for your site - want you want to do with it. Start at that point and then see which platform best meets your needs.

With WordPress you will need to set up a MySQL database, but that is really a very simple step and, if your hosting provider offers 1-click installation, setting up the database is taken care of anyway.

I can't help much with BANS or Content Website Builder, but if you need some help with WordPress let me know,

Cheers,

Martin.

I will tell you this, Google hates BANS sites. I bought the software over a year ago and all I read on the forums is how their sites have been slapped by Google.

I would highly recommend you use WordPress. It is easy to setup (Especially if your host offers one-click installs) and really simple to add content to.

I also understand that Google slapped sites created with BANS as it could easily detect its footprint.

A product just released called Niche Devil claims to get over the footprint issue, but I've not used it so can't say yes or no.

Smart Internet Marketers never overlook eBay - still a surprisingly easy way to make money.

They stopped selling it after 5 days for some reason.

But, yes, Google deindexes BANS sites as soon as it identifies them. They've also been known to go after other thin affiliate sites that have a definite footprint. Running WordPress with a unique or very common theme that's SEO friendly and that has relevant content on each post is your best bet for having a long term site that ranks well.

I would definitely go with Wordpress. I bought BANS over a year ago right before Google started slapping the sites. As soon as I had a few of them out there they got deindexed right away. I stopped promoting those sites all together although they still trickle in some money from yahoo searches.

Wordpress & PHPbay FTW!

Just checked a couple old BANS sites I put up originally and they're all deindexed from Google.

Wordpress & PHPbay Pro are flexible and easy to modify - no cookie cutter sites

I agree. If I had the time and motivation, I'd take my BANS site down and convert it to Wordpress & PHPbay.

For someone not knowing Wordpress, it's really worth the learning curve to get in there and figure it out. I was very intimidated by wordpress 6 months ago but dove in and have at least a dozen wordpress sites and blogs now. The possibilities with wordpress are endless compared to other platforms.
