Default Hubpages Duplicate Content Rant

I realize there are a lot of threads on hubpages and I already revived one of them. I'm just curious if anyone has had this particular problem. I knew when I started working with them that they did not accept duplicate content. I spun my article by hand and submitted it. It flagged for duplicate content, which I was kind of half expecting. Then I rewrote the article 90%. I seriously only left maybe two sentences from the original article. It STILL flagged for duplicate content. At this point I say screw it, the site is a big pain in the ass. I realize that it's only purpose is to generate a high ranking backlink to my site. Does anyone think that it's really worth the headache for one link? Just curious if anyone else has had a similar frustrating experience.

It's not really a "duplicate content" issue - hubpages wants content published on hubs to be original and unique to that hub. I don't people confusing this with the constantly mentioned "dupe" issue.

It's like an editorial arm of your business and many marketers have had problems grasping that. We are so accustomed to writing an article and submitting it and putt part on our blog and then adding it to our site and then making a lens with the same info......and then we try to add that same info in a hub and it doesn't work.

When I write for hubs I write blurbs that are never published anywhere else. It's the only way I've found to have high ranked hubs and avoid problems there.
