Here is how to improve your Google Rankings

This post that I found will help us tremendously as the majority of what we do today is video-based. Enjoy!!!

Over the past few month’s we’ve known that Google now uses speech to text conversion. That means that they take the SPOKEN text from your videos, and convert it to text.

While they won’t tell us WHY they do that, the obvious answer is that they are looking for RELEVANT CONTENT! They now use your spoken text to categorize and rank your video.

So we’ve been experimenting a bit, and we’ve learned that in most cases you can improve your Google ranking with your websites by adding keywords in your spoken audio. Just using music behind written text in a slide show does not work as well.

So when you are writing your scripts, put your main keywords up front, and use them throughout the video. Use them in a natural way, but write your script just as if you were writing a web page that you wanted Google to index, because with their speech to text conversion, they are applying the same algorhtythms as if it were written text.

Is this backed-up by actual information from google..

I've heard of google voice which is currently available to US only. The service includes transcribing your communications via phone to text. I just didn't knew that it was applied to youtube alreadly or if it was really applied.

I hope we get "fact" based information on this one..

It will be good in our marketing efforts..

I'll wait for someone with more authority than an anonymous Traffic Geyser poster and a newbie on this forum looking to jack up his post count. I don't believe voice-overs on videos amount to a hill of beans at Google. I think it's about your description in the sidebar, the tags you use, and backlinks (as always). I could be wrong, obviously. Just doesn't "smell" right to me.

I know I have no authority, either, but I saw Don, one of the main guys from Stompernet speak at an Eben Pagan seminar recently, and everything he said corroborates the fact that google is, in fact, translating your videos into keyword-studded content.

Yeah? Well I stand corrected then. If Eben Pagen let the dude talk at his seminar, I'll definitely defer to his knowledge. I find it amazing, but it isn't the first time Google has surprised me by the depths to which they'll descend to get a handle on things. I apologize to the OP!
