Should I invest in this traffic membership site?

I received an offer I am trying to evaluate under which I will receive a complete membership site providing once a month web traffic video tutorial for a period of 12 months narrated by a person from the US.

The package includes set up of my Aweber account and autoresponder account and email messages to go out to the list. Promotional images and material is also included.

The cost of the package is less than $100.

The claim is that everyone is interested in getting traffic to their sites so it should not be hard to promote and I already have a funnel that offers a free traffic ebook.

My concern is whether potential customers would be willing to pay $5 or $10 a month just to get a monthly traffic tips video when there are so many free ones on Youtube.

Plus I suspect that many potential customers might prefer PDF reports and newsletters which I can add but it will cost me.

SO WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK. SHOULD I BUY?

It sounds a bit lame. I could be totally misunderstanding, but, from what I understand at any rate, it sounds like a turnkey membership site, updated each month with a video, the same video presumably sent out to each other membership site. You would honestly be much better off developing your own membership solution and feeding it with original content. That's my initial take.

You can get a membership site for nothing and you can set up an aWeber account for nothing (either way the aWeber account will cost you a monthly fee.) You can purchase email messages and graphics very cheaply. So the real question seems to me to be . . .

How good are the 12 traffic video tutorials? Are they worth $100/month ($1,200 per year)?

Of course the seller of this service will claim that "everyone is interested in getting traffic to their sites so it should not be hard to promote." I would take that claim with a grain of salt. Anytime you ask for a recurring payment, month after month, there will be hesitancy on the part of the prospect.

And what are you going to do to set your site apart given all the free traffic tips that are everywhere online these days?

Finally, I would ask myself . . . "how do I know the videos are even worth watching? Do they contain great and useful information, or were they simply a rehash of generic info you can find anywhere?

You will have to decide what you are willing to accept for $1,200.

Actually the cost of the package for me is $97 one time fee and I can charge whatever monthly fee I want to members who sign up.

There are always free ones out there, you can make free one to promote your paid one. I think the important part is authority and sales letter. What do you estimated the return on investment will be for your members? Why should they trust you that they will receive this return? Any proof, testimony, your own page ranking, traffic, etc? I think you should charge much higher if you have a valuable product, seriously.

    Yep. Agree totally with Steve.

    To give you some ideas:

    1. Domain - around 99 cents.
    2. Hosting - pocket change a month, differs.
    3. Paid Memberships Pro - free.
    4. aWeber - first month is free.
    6. Windows Moviemaker - free
    7. Wordpress - free

Total initial outlay: Under 15 bucks.

To make it look a little more professional, grab yourself a premium theme. Will set you back no more than, say, $65, and we're still under $80.

Now you need content, of course. If you know the methods, turn them into combined video and PDF tutorials. If you lack the methods, seek them out: figure them out, test, run them, get results, produce the tutorials.

That's doing things on the cheap, but we all have to start somewhere. Upshot: you have an original entity.

I think if you are concerned about this then many of your potential customers will be also. You need to be offering massive value and content that people cannot easily get elsewhere for free. Personally just one video a month would be nowhere near enough to entice me to join even if the video was from a known expert in the subject.

Much better to do the work yourself and create something of real value.
