Should I do anything extra for this web page?

I have a backlink (no anchor text, just http://www.mysite*.com) on a webpage which is an internal page of a PR 6 page, which is an internal page of a PR8 .edu site. I'm assuming this is a powerful link...

I've already pinged it. But should I do anything special for this link? Like building backlinks to that page or something?

Backlinking is something that you should never stop doing. You may not see the immediate result but the long term effect will be great. Try comment posting on forums as well.
