Slideshow Marketing - Plausible?

Hello wonderful people of WF!

I recently stumbled upon a marketing strategy that I think will work. The problem is maybe only I believe its a good idea... I need your input warriors if you are willing to pitch in your thoughts.

The strategy I have in mind is "Slideshow Marketing" It will be significantly easier than creating full blown videos...

So what do you guys think?

    Lots of people are doing that already. I did that too as a test. Well if you ask me on the effectiveness of slideshow marketing, I would say to a certain extend but will never be as viral as a good video. Plus a slideshow can be boring if it is longer than a minute so if you might consider using Windows Movie Maker just to have some variations there.

    Most of the traffic to one of my information products comes from a slideshow I posted on Slideshare. A Very basic short one too.

    I really don't know how it would compare to video on a sales page!

    Slideshare is a great site for slide shows that has been bringing in traffic and sales for me over the years.

    It is not just the slide show but the rankings you get from it on google and search engines.

    All the text in your slide show is searchable text.

    Is the slide show marketing simillar to distributing power point slides. how different is it from power point. Is there any website we could look at. I appreciate your help.
