What is "backend selling"?

Anyone have any tutorials or products on what it is and how it is done?

Where can I go to learn more?

This is what you offer customers in your sales funnel that have bought your tripwire offer. Basically, it is the entire rest of the funnel after the initial offer.

Here's an example of a typical sales funnel:

    $7(tripwire) - $37 - $97 - $997.......

So the $37, $97, $997 are all "backend offers".

There is a site called digitalmarketer that does a heck of a job explaining all of this in detail by the way.

Back-end selling is simply the selling you do after your initial sale; and that means selling another product to the same customer. There are some very obvious benefits for back-end selling.

When use advertising or other traffic sources for the first (non backend ) sale, you don't really know if the prospect is interested in the sepcific type of product that you're selling. But once someone has bought from you and become your customer, you know a lot about them. You know their interest (in what you initially sold them). Hence, if you try to sell them something that is related to the initial product but offers a lot of incremental value, they are very likely to buy that product. The back-end products are typically of much higher cost and hence result it higher profits.
