I don't know how much it's changed in the last 6 months but I had to beg and plead just to get into EPN. Once I did I didn't make a dime but that's partially on me as I have internet marketing ADD. I was shocked to see that ebay deposited $78.00 in bank account last week, so that's what? $11/month profit. Like I said, it's on me because I abandoned that site months ago but it does still get daily traffic. I don't think that BANS is the way to go anymore. If I were to mess with it anymore, I'd move it all to a wordpress platform. |

I make some money with them, yeah. I only have a couple of websites using them. Those sites actually have very little traffic, but I make around $100 a month with them. I intend to pursue this further, soon.

maybe worth a look but then again you get payed say 30 - 40% and im guessings thats off there final value fee so its just as easy to promote a website with that particular product.

I have 18 BANS sites. The least of them is making $12 per month on average. The best is averaging $65. Zero traffic is coming from Google - it's all from Yahoo, Bing, and elsewhere. Traffic is light, but each makes money. BANS isn't "dead," the sites just make small amounts. In the distant past I used Craigslist ads to direct traffic to specific BANS sites and did very well (don't try this today or you'll get dropped from EPN). I'm testing other EPN monetization strategies, but IMO it shouldn't be a primary focus. Done correctly, it looks to still be a better-paying alternative than adsense, albeit with more set-up. |

I use EPN with BayRSS on WP product blogs. It varies greatly, but in general makes about 60% of what adsense makes me every month. But, that percentage also varies greatly depending on the topic, as well. Obviously topics where people are collectors will do much better with EPN than Adsense. I'm thinking of one site in particular where the site only makes about $5 a month with Adsense - I'd consider it a failure if I had never put EPN on. But it makes $50 a month with EPN. Therefore, it's a moderately successful little niche site - and that never would have happened if not for EPN. |

I've experienced the same thing as Melanie. Some sites just do better with EPN than other networks I have used. It all depends on the niche.

I made about $500 on eBay Partner Network last month (July). It is not my highest earning affiliate program, but when I have a blog that goes well with eBay products it does alright. I am considering using it even more.

eBay Partner Network is a great program. They are really cracking down on their terms of service and network agreement - so be sure to read it, understand it, and be in compliance else you will get the boot. No domains w/ trademark names anymore... so keep that in mind when developing. One of the reasons that these sites are so great (even on low traffic domains) is because the traffic you are getting to these sites is in buy mode (they are searching for the product, so they either want more information and are on the cusp of buying or are actively seeking the product to buy). Either way it becomes easy commissions. |

Monitorit: Check out this program. - Ad Box Professional I don't use adsense on any of my sites. Instead, I use links to my affiliate sites and pages. Here's another one - could be used for affiliates or to sell ads to people who might be interested in advertising on your site: TextAds 2.0 :: Sell Text Ads on your Website Script |

I love EPN. It's the heart and soul of what I do now. I usually won't build a site unless I think it will work well with EPN. After selling a site outright last month I now have seven sites that are all geared toward them. 3 of them produced me about $650 last month with the other (newer) sites dragging in another $75 to bring me to just over $725 for the month. The good thing is that these newer sites have MUCH better potential as I've learned a lot since setting up my original set. The key to making EPN work is traffic. Every site I have is now in the #1 position for it's keyword. If I don't think I can take #1 or #2 I don't build the site for that keyword. My new sites are still climbing to the first page. They'll be #1 for their terms as well (more traffic and less competition than earlier set) and each of these new four will easily product $1,000 p/month each once they take top positions. |

EPN is ebay's affiliate program. Stands for Ebay Partner Network. I love EPN and it's my main source of income. I have one site which brought in over 2k last month. Of course, it's really my only site making anything with it right now but I'm happy with that. |

EPN payout is as follows if I remember correctly (havn't checked in a while) 55% of Ebay's Revenue. So if a product sells and both the listing fees, final value fees, and upgrade fees charged to the seller add up to $10.00 then you get a payout of $5.50. The real money however, is made in new member signups (ARCUs). An ACRU is earned when someone who's tagged with your cookie creates a new account and either buys something with "Buy It Now" or Places a Bid on an auction item. (they DON'T have to WIN the item...just bid!) Your ACRU payout can range anywhere from $1.00 p/signup to $30.00 p/signup. New affiliates start at the $1.00 mark for the first month while eBay's automated systems evaluate the traffic you are slinging to see if they perform "normally" (i.e. - no BlueFart fake signups and stuff). Once your traffic checks out it's assigned some type of quality score. The average payout on ACRUs to affiliates is $25.00 from what I hear. These ACRUs are the lifeblood of the program as far as I'm concerned and it's the single biggest reason why EPN rocks over Amazon. You'd think everyone already had an ebay account, but buyers don't use ebay for a while and forget their login...then instead of hunting it down, they just make a new account and you just got paid! Kids will make accounts to without mommy's permission to bid on an Xbox when the Xbox current bid is only $5 or $10. Same goes for CDs, iPods or anything else kids want. Ebay has no way of knowing it's a kid that just made an account...so you get paid! Note: These numbers are for Ebay US with payouts slightly different for the various other countries. |
