I am about to open a FB fan page for parenting courses i want to run. Im not very technical. How do i set up a call to action post that allows users to read about my course, click a button and pay on something like paypal, i want to make it as easy as possible for them. Quote for this would be appreciated, i know how to open a FB page and paypal account the rest im lost on.

Secondly, i am thinking of creating video courses but i want to include some youtube videos. Are there copyright issues with that?

Finally, I dont know what to call my FB page and potential blog, should i use my full name Karen XXXX Parenting, or should i make it more searchable like Respectful, Connected Parenting - the problem with the latter is that these names are already taken up in SEO terms as there is a huge following for a 'respectful parenting' blog and a "parenting by connection" group.

Any help appreciated.

    Hi Karen,

I'm going to suggest a slightly modified approach:

    1. FB Call to Action
    2. Squeeze Page
    3. Opt-In to Receive Incentive Course
    4. OTO (One Time Offer) on Paid Course
    5. Membership Backend for Paid Course
    6. A Section for Free Members (Monetized with Paid Section)
    7. Your Own Content: Videos, PDF eBooks.

You could approach this with a straight sales page. But it would be a bad move. Some people need "warming up" before making a purchase decision. It depends on many factors but quite often the average of 3 viewings is found by many marketers. So what you do is collect that potential lead by way of a newsletter, giving you the opportunity to warm them up to the idea of your paid course. There's also another benefit. When you grow your list, you grow your business, the potential for it to deliver increased levels of income. Not only can you market right away (your OTO) but you can re-market for as long as they're on your list (your paid section and indeed any other products and services). You are, in effect, creating a targeted market pool.

The entire process will require some research from you. I'd happily explain it, but I'd be here all day to do it right.

    To answer your questions:

    1. This may help with setting up your call to action: call to action explanation on FB.
    2. If you're charging for membership, use your own videos.
    3. Use a catchy name, and obviously ensure it matches with your website (helps with conversions). Short, catchy, relevant, easy to spell and remember, captures your brand, sends a clear message about what you do.

    To reiterate, then:

    1. Use a free course to incentivize opt-ins.
    2. Promote your paid course.

I'd recommend using the above as a springboard. The direction to take is there (points above). You just need to work out how to properly implement.

    Cheers - Tom

Once you have your page setup use page post to collect the leads with Facebook ads, go to Youtube there should be plenty of videos on how to do this.

If you want to use YouTube videos in your product make sure you get Written permission from the video creator, anything else is copyright infringement.

Without technical stuff: Create a blog for your Parenting Brand - Wordpress. Install social sharing plugins and Facebook Comments Plugin.
Also install "Disable Comments" plugin and select posts and pages in its settings page.

Your Blog is your center for information and purchasing of your Parenting resources.

Create your informational posts (should be content varied and rich) with an optin for more help - your most important goal is to get emails. Focus on a free newsletter that provides website updates and some tips (related to the new post content).

Each new post - share directly from your Facebook comments area below each new post as you can select which page you want the comment to be posted to or share on your main profile and then share it to "pages you manage".

Whenever you simply want to reference youtube videos, create a playlist on your youtube account and select the videos for that playlist. Then embed that playlist into your membership or course resource area. There is no copyright issue as you are using youtube as it was meant to be used and the copyright owner has selected the option to make it available for both embedding and playlist inclusion.

Are you creating a brand? If yes, do you have the resources to finance your marketing campaign? If yes, then go with your brand.

If money is an issue and you have no affiliate program, then I would seek to establish a keyword based strategy more than a brand strategy to start out with. You should start your brand but focus on the keywords that can get you some traction (traffic). You can accomplish this at the post level (creating posts that are keyword based - even categories).

A few select WSOs on keyword post strategies would be of help to you, youtube videos on creating keyword posts and categories are easily searchable, as well as, a few seo plugins (if using Wordpress) may be helpful to make your posts more keyword relevant.

Ample research on the WF for posts and threads relevant to keyword optimization and blog seo would prove valuable to you right now.
