Default Webpage Removal

Hi everyone,

I have a client who wants to get an article removed from the internet.
Basically, in a nutshell. The client is currently in the media and a rather undesirable person is claiming that they were in someway associated with my client in the dim & distant past & making some pretty extravagant claims in the article.

Short of taking legal action which my client doesn't want to do (they don't want to attract that sort of publicity), i contacted the administrator of the site & politely asked them to remove the article stating that it may damage my clients commercial & personal interests.
The administrator initially replied via email but now refuses contact.

Any suggestions please from anyone as to how i can go about getting this article/webpage removed from the internet?

It must be a common problem on the net for established marketers managing their reputation so i imagine there is some sort of workable solution or a watchdog that can be contacted, etc. It just not something i've dealt with before.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Pay them off.

Unless they are breaking copyright laws, there isn't much you can do.
