Are you working properly online

Whether it's 45 minutes or 8 hours a day we all have only a limited amount of time to devote to our business daily.
Over the years many people have approached me saying how they are working really hard for hours on end and aren't getting nowhere.

What is tell them to do and what I thought was worth posting here is the following method.

Actively monitor what you do during the course of a day.

Think about those activities that actually increase your income.

Reading about other people's success or what they are doing on facebook is now going to earn you money.

Procrastinating about a niche choice or a software platform won't earn you money.

Goofing about on twitter is not work its messing about.

You only have a certain amount of time per day to build and grow your business.

Believe it or not that's why during the day I use a blackberry. It doesn't do all the flashy stuff that my iphone does but it helps me focus with no distractions and get things done.

Spend all the hours you want on a forum on twitter or facebook if you want.

But if you want to get ahead which is why I am guessing you are here in the first place then let's get you focusing, active and driving your business forward. There is plenty of time for all the other distractions later when you have made it

      It sounds silly but the internet is such a place for distraction, it's not actually conducive to getting things done, so you have to focus and make sure you do it

    Something that has work for me is to apply the Pomodoro technique. It consists of 25 minutes of pure work without interruptions. Then 5 minutes of rest. And then apply the technique again. You will start seeing great results with just 2 hours of working like these.

    I'm definitely working properly online. As we speak i'm watching Ink Master, while 5 years ago, this would have been my 7th hour online and still no money made.

    I dramatically cut my marketing time down from 10 hours per day, to 1 hour. The purpose of an online business should be the automation (plus the money), so you can sex all day or do whatever you want. If this doesn't describe you..... then more than likely, you're probably still *working* for a living - even though you're online.
