What nche would you do if you had a unique, great source of traffic?

Hi All,

I have been researchng dropship websites and starting my own website to begin my own company online. I don't know a whole lot about the world and am just trying to sponge up everything I can.

The reason I am so interested in diving head first is that I have access to a unique, massive source of traffic that can be directed to my website literally immediately. If you knew you had a resource like this that can drive 1000s of clicks to your website over a few hours the second it's up, what kind of niche would you go into?

The demographic is male or female, 18-28 with the majority of them on the lower half of that age group. They will almost all be directed to the website from their cell phone so it has to be something that would be "mobile friendly" for my customers.

I was thinking of purchasing a simple prank website and just posting ads on it, but I think their is more profitable ideas then that. What suggestions would you have for a niche if you had access to a unique source of traffic with the average age of that traffic being 18-28?

Also, what are people's experiences here buying dropship websites off of Flippa?

You wrote "demographic is male or female, 18-28 with the majority of them on the lower half of that age group" but do you know anything more about there interests? That is real key question for you. Having lots of traffic is great but what you really want is for that traffic to be very well targeted for the site / products that you are sending them to. Since you know they are using their phone perhaps some along the line of phone accessories or phone apps would make sense.

Well, it's difficult to say. I represent a huge network of followers on Twitter and the accounts are all parody accounts. I have direct access to the owners as I use to own accounts myself so I get super cheap pricing for posts.

The parody accounts aren't really interest. It's dumb entertainment. Things like love quotes, stupid pranks, funny posts...Stuff along those lines. A lifestyle brand would work well I was thinking. Maybe something that simply sells female accessories at a relatively cheap price point.

So as far as what they're intersted in...It's hard to pinpoint that.

That's not much of a demographic...

What is their income? What are their hobbies? What do they tend to buy online and offline? What's their education level? Do they have any kids? Are they married? In college, degrees, drop outs?

If you'd like, go to twitter.com/girlposts

Those are the style of Twitters I represent.

More than likely the Gaming Industry. Like video games or something of that nature

But I just do not have enough Passion to work on attracting a large amount of Traffic towards this

Oddly enough, Flippa has one at the top of its sales for a gaming website...My issue with that is that while I can tailor the Twitters to men...I just don't think many people are buying video games offline or in a physical shape anymore.

With IPads, PS4s, Xbox and so on they're all able to just download games directly to their systems. I'll do some research to see where the majority of sales comes in for video games. My other issue with that is that it's not a difficult thing to search for. Everything I sell will be on Amazon, Gamestop, Best Buy, etc...Every major retailer website possible has video games for sale as well.

Why is that? I can get 50 million followers together to post at once to direct traffic. I'm genuinely curious as to why you say don't bother?

Understand something about Twitter...There are organicly built pages, like this one, and their are "trader" pages. The trader pages are the guys who post CPC ads a few times a day to make $100 per day. They spam you with ads, tweets from other twitters, and mostly crap material. These are the people who give you a 1 % conversion rate on clicks or anything for that matter.

The the organic pages are strong ones. They have loyal followers. They get 2000 RTs on one of their posts and their real retweets that they didn't have to steal by paying someone else to repost what they had. These are the marketing opportunities. I know the accounts who are traders, I know the accounts who are organic and can drive real traffic.

I know this because I use to trade myself. And I know the dogshit traffic that an account like that provides because I use to be the provider. These organic pages are the real thing though and their are very few people on earth who understand it like I do.

What is your bias against Twitter?

The first thing you should be trying to do is getting them onto a list, so you can develop a relationship and discover what their needs are.
            -Or-
You can blindly advertise "stuff to them (throw stuff against the wall) and hope something sticks. Good Luck with that.

Yes. That is my number one goal is to use it to build an e-mail list from a variety of different accounts. I should be able to get 100-500 e-mails per campaign I run via Twitter.

How big of a list is considered a good list?

Sounds like you might want to "dance with the one what brung ya."

These people have a demonstrated predilection for dumb entertainment, so give it to them. Do what the newspaper sites do. Sign up for a couple of dozen ad networks, and put each code on the page you direct them to. If you can, make the destination into a multi-page slide show type lander, and put the codes on each slide. Each visitor could generate a couple of hundred ad impressions, so a CPM model could work for you.

Spend some time watching what gets the most response while you build that list, then start testing offers that line up with what your numbers say. Maybe it's video games. Maybe it's dumb mobile apps. Lifestyle stuff. I don't know for sure, and neither does anyone else until the data comes in.

Hmm niche isn't specific enough to monetise accurately but I'd just have one of those buzzfeed/viralnova type sites where that type of demographic seem to share things like crazy
