I wanted to ask for some advice...

I'm wondering if it is ok for you to take your subscribers in your email campaign directly to your blog for more details on subject matters?

This way you can delve into a subject matter with more explanation than you would in your emails.

Would I be taking away from sales?

Could I just add a link in my blog that sells the product in my email and be safe not to loose a sale?

I've had good results sending out the first paragraph of an article with a "read entire article" link.

    Yes !!

I don't do it but I know several others including Charlie Page who does it with a link in his email to a blog post.
He has been doing it for years and Im sure it has been effective for him

It's ok to to do that. If the article is of relevance and value. Try to mix some emails with just general tips without affiliate links so your email list doesn't look like a cash grab.

Just give them the info in your email. Sending a 20-word blurb in your email then leading them to your blog isn't necessary. Get out there and sell something and don't worry about technicalities and trivial things such as this.

Yes, do it! It builds value and trust. Randall is also correct in that you should also maintain your objective, which is to turn your prospects into buyers.
