Hello,
I am going to start a new business name Tuft and Needle. But the domain is booked.
Can anybody please suggest me a domain name for my business?

a better way to approach this is to brainstorm. then when you come up with a few options just start a post and from there we can discuss your ideas.

But, just asking us to do your work is not getting off to a good start

      Lavonce,

Try adding a short word in front or at the end of "tuftandneedle."

In front: all, best, buy, cool, deluxe, expert, ez, fast, find, fine, full, fun, get, go, hot, key, live, mail, master, my, new, online, only, pick, pro, pure, shop, top, try, view

At end: ace, answers, boss, center, city, club, complete, corner, dealer, deals, den, depot, direct, expert, fan, friend, gear, gold, guide, help, host, info, king, queen, plan, portal, pro, sales, secrets, shop, site, solutions, spot, store, supply, team, town, usa, value, web, whiz, wire, works, world, xs, zone

You should be able to find something you like that's available.

      Good luck,

      Steve

Just a caution - did you check to be certain that is not a trademarked name? It appears to be the name of a mattress brand and before I'd use it I would want legal advice to avoid any problems.

Not wise to settle on a name without fully vetting that name - by looking to see if it's in use, if it is registered as a trademark, if the domain is available, etc.

This might be my first route, if I truly wanted to keep the business name.

          However...

Here it is. Your domain name is part of your brand, obviously. A lot of work goes into branding a startup. It might take months, longer. The good news is this: "I am going to start a new business..." This means you can backtrack, rethink, begin the process of rebranding.

Whatever you do, don't add unnecessary words at the start or the end or indeed anywhere within your domain. You'll kill domain value, and more importantly, the value that could be attained from being well-branded. Think about it. You wouldn't want CoolCoke.com if you owned Coke, right? Instead - rebrand.

These days, every startup must consider their digital business in conjunction with their offline business. One part of that is the domain name.
